I love to read this thread because i believe obama is a charlatan. But i disagree that his leaning towards socialism would prove anything towards him being a charlatan. A person can still be honest and true and still favour socialism I love socialism myself and done the proper way, i think it is the answer for many poor countries of the world. But western world should be capitalist society and socialism will never work there because a capitalist society is so much ingrained.
So i think it is not necessary to attack socialism and obama together, because both are different issues. Obama being an illegal candidate and with a corrupt history should be the main focus, shouldnt it? Many people who love socialism like me would also read this thread, and might get the issue mixed up.

Socialism has never and will never work. Socialism goes against the human nature. Humans are egoistic, that is innate and you can't change it. Someone will always work better if s/he gets a personal gain from it, in a socialistic society you don't really have that possibility. Implementing stuff like 5 year plans is a sure way to make a country go down the drain (see USSR or GDR for instance).

Americorps Has Stench Of Authoritarianism


With almost no public attention, both chambers of Congress in the past week advanced an alarming expansion of the Americorps national service plan, with the number of federally funded community-service jobs increasing from 75,000 to 250,000 at a cost of $5.7 billion. Lurking behind the feel-good rhetoric spouted by the measure’s advocates is a bill that upon closer inspection reveals multiple provisions that together create a strong odor of creepy authoritarianism.

The House passed the measure overwhelmingly, while only 14 senators had the sense and courage to vote against it on a key procedural motion. Every legislator who either voted for this bill or didn’t vote at all has some serious explaining to do.

Last summer, then-candidate Barack Obama threw civil liberties to the wind when he proposed "a civilian national security force that’s just as powerful, just as strong, just as well-funded" as the regular military. The expanded Americorps is not quite so disturbing, but a number of provisions in the bill raise serious concerns.

To begin with, the legislation threatens the voluntary nature of Americorps by calling for consideration of "a workable, fair and reasonable mandatory service requirement for all able young people." It anticipates the possibility of requiring "all individuals in the United States" to perform such service, including elementary school students.

The bill also summons up unsettling memories of World War II-era paramilitary groups by saying the new program should "combine the best practices of civilian service with the best aspects of military service," while establishing "campuses" that serve as "operational headquarters," complete with "superintendents" and "uniforms" for all participants. It allows for the elimination of all age restrictions in order to involve Americans at all stages of life. And, it calls for the creation of "a permanent cadre" in a "National Community Civilian Corps."

But that’s not all. The bill also calls for "youth engagement zones" in which "service learning" is "a mandatory part of the curriculum in all of the secondary schools served by the local educational agency."

This updated form of voluntary community service is also to be "integrated into the science, technology, engineering and mathematics curricula" at all levels of schooling. Sounds like a government curriculum for government-approved "service learning," which is nothing less than indoctrination.

Ali Sina has claimed on numerous occasions that (sorry to return to such a worn-out subject) Obama has spent a fortune in legal fees in order to prevent the 'truth' of his Kenyan birth being revealed. These expenses for Ali Sina constitute 'proof' that Obama is lying about his place of birth.

I read so many contradictory reports when I google the subject. Has Obama, yes or no, spent tens of thousands of dollars on legal fees concerning the controversy of his place of birth? This is NOT a question about Obama's POB but of the legal fees that have purportedly ensued following disputed claims.

Here come another of those "Guilt by Associations" that Senator Barack Obama will try to weasel himself out of. As you may know, Philip Berg is suing Senator Obama in Civil Court. Berg wants Obama to Produce his real birth certificate to prove that he meets the citizenship requirements to be President. Rather than just product the birth certificate (is he trying to hide something?) Obama's legal team filed a motion to dismiss. One of the Lawyers filing the motion was Joe Sandler (sandler@sandlerreiff.com) of the Washington law firm Sandler, Reiff, and Young (see the document below).

If Mr. Sandler's name sounds familiar it Should. He is the Legal Hit Man for the Council of American-Islamic Relations (CAIR). CAIR is an organization with terrorist ties, and has been as an un-indicted co-conspirator in the Holyland Foundation Hamas Funding trial.

Sandler's role for CAIR has been to stifle people from telling the truth about Islam. For example, last year he tried to get Jihad Expert Robert Spencer banned from speaking to the Young American Foundation, by using a threatening letter. Sandler followed up by threatening columnist Mike Adams for writing about the Spencer incident.

Look, everyone deserves legal representation that is not the Issue. The real issue is why is a candidate for President of the United States, a guy who wants to take over the role of Commander-in-Chief in the war on terror, using the Lawyer for CAIR a group with terrorist connections, to represent him in a law suit? Once again the Junior Senator from Illinois leave us with questions and no answers.

No mention of costs, but it would be interesting to know just how much Mr Obama has spent on legals to apparently 'hide' things about himself.

I found this about the law firm that is mentioned in the article above, seems the Democrats used them and it is very possible the Democrats are footing the bill for Obama, but as to the amount, it's apparently unknown.
