In my 6th standard ,they mentioned in the social studies book that Aryans are originally from Germany.Now as I was educated in an English medium,I have observed quite a lot of words of Indic languages match with English words,not surprising since English is a Germanic language imposed on the Celts and Celto-Romans.

As I mentioned elsewhere, I'm no linguist, but AFAIK all European languages have an "Indo-European" origin. Again, it's too late for researching it but I'm pretty sure the Interwebs will have some nice diagrams about it.

I am too no linguist,but have got a little apprehension about the use of word 'loan word' to suggest that some word of another language family had been borrowed and that does not belong to the original linguistic family.For examply dwaram is supposedly a Sanskrit loan word borrowed by Telugu,a Dravidian language meaning door.The Telugu word of day to day usage for door is talupu.

But then path also seems to be a borrowed word from Graeco Roman languages into English and the word of day to day usage meaning the same is 'way'.But English is still considered part of Indo-European languages while Telugu going by the same standard is catergorised as a Dravidian language.So how exactly are languages categorised into different linguistic groups?

Someone in this forum,a non-muslim rationalist from the West said that honor killings of Pakistani origin men in U.K or some other Western country is not the fault of Islam,but rather precedes Islam as if pointing out the finger at Hinduism.

Then I was reminded of how one young pair who had pre-marital sex who did not get killed when I was in that college between 1999-2003 even though almost the whole class and beyond know about what had happened.

I think that in situations of wars when muslims massacred en masse whole Hindu civilian populations including Brahmins in numbers of hundreds of thousands,there would have been a greater chance for non-Brahmins with not so much Aryan blood for moving up the social ladder.Otherwise in a conservative society,their mobility would have been severely limited/restricted.Honor killing or killing for adultery is also one such means of ensuring that the existing systems remain in tact.

Yes, honour killings were once found in all sorts of places, including China and Japan, and ancient Rome too. While this has long gone, the practice is still very much alive in Islam. While there is no direct command for these in the Qur'an, there are many examples of the things that prepare mind fore honour killings, most notable the idea of a woman being property. When a woman, even unmarried, has an "affair" then this diminishes her "worth" in selling in marriage. A Muslim wedding often is little more than a trade contract.

If it is one of the cultural things that is established in India, at a bare minimum we can say the Islam has done nothing at all to pot a stop to it.

Some say that linguistic paleontology that establishes Sanskrit as an Indo-European Aryan language and South Indian languages as Dravidan languages is a pseudo-science.Perhaps my random words can give some clue as to how different words of different languages came into being from their original words and whether or not linguistic paleontology is indeed a pseudo-science or not.
