Rabbi Chaim Richman: Incident demonstrates “opening of a new front of anti- Semitism at the hands of the Islamic Wakf."

A Wakf official told a Jewish student from the UK who was visiting the Temple Mount on Wednesday morning, to remove his kippa, saying that he was not allowed to wear it because he was “in a holy place.”

The 20-year-old from London, who studies at the University of Leeds in northern England and is in the country on a student mission, declined to remove the kippa and left the site instead.

Rabbi Chaim Richman of The Temple Institute said that the incident demonstrated “the opening of a new front of anti- Semitism at the hands of the Islamic Wakf committed to eradicating all Jewish connection to the site.”

The Jordanian Wakf that administers the site restricts non-Muslims from entering outside specific visiting hours, and no form of non-Muslim worship is permitted, including personal prayer. Religious clothing such as kippot and tzitzit, however, has always been permitted.

Jewish man arrested for praying on Temple Mount
Jerusalem police on Sunday arrested a Jewish man who was suspected by Islamic authorities of saying a quiet prayer atop the Temple Mount, Judaism’s most holy site.

Other Israelis who were in the same group as the arrested man told Israel National News that they were accompanied by several police officers and Islamic monitors as they toured the compound, which is currently occupied by four mosques.

Near the end of the tour, one of the participants stood quietly to the side, a little ways away from the rest of the group. An Islamic official suspected the Jewish man was saying a quiet prayer, so rushed toward him demanding he stop. The Muslim called over Israeli police officers, who removed the Jewish man from the scene and took him for questioning.

From the end of the article:

The Temple Mount is without question the holiest site on earth to every Jew. And yet, they are not allowed to say even a silent prayer while visiting the site.

That is complete nonsense. Of course, anyone can say a silent prayer without it being evident from the outside. What is not allowed is any outward sign of praying because the Muslims interpret that as a political statement. Just the same as many non-Muslims interpret the hijab as a political statement.

Christians and Jews have to worship and pray by stealth? Really? Yes. Really.

Muslims are exempt from these restrictions, because they set these restrictions.

Not just on the Temple mount. But anywhere Muslims rule.

Now imagine what would happen if the tables were turned...

This is the part I don't understand. In showing inappropriate subservience, they encourage more Muslim violence. Muslims will do whatever they can get away with.

If I were the prime minister in Israel I would order the demolishion of the alaqsa mosque and the dome of the rock. They don't belong there, and are quite an abomination. They can have a mosque elsewhere in the city if there is a shortage. But, I guess, because of such an idea I would never get elected...

I agree Ghaith, I would make a terrible politician. I don't care about threats of violence, I would just do what I think it the right thing... After all, the Muslims all around Israel want to destroy Israel anyway, so what's the point making any kind of concession? They would just take that as a sign to ask for more.

Mohammed never went to Jerusalem.
I think we talked about that before, or not?
The mosque in the temple mount is a sign of tyrrany and occupation. It really does not belong there. You would not be happy if someone built a Hindu temple over the kaaba, would you?

Muhammad did go to Jerusalem. Earlier i just debunked your claim on the majid as you somehow tought a majid have to be a building.

I would not be happy if someone built a Hindu temple that true. But if i occupied a country Illegal i wouldnt destroy their buildings.
You dont se the muslims destroying the Borobudur temple.

Palestine never existed as a sovereign country, with it's own government, currency, borders, constitution, etc.

It was a territory a piece of land called Palestine (named so by the Romans), governed by the Ottoman empire, then after WWI a British mandate, and then in 1948 a creation of Israel, agreed upon by the UN with international vote.

Not, as you have been taught an illegal occupation.

The "Palestinian People" did not exist until after the 6 Day war (1967)

If you can prove otherwise, be my guest.

Don't be ridiculous.

So Arabs and Muslim can trace back their lineage to the Philistines?
Do you even know where the Philistines originated from?

How and why would the Philistines migrate from the fertile Nile to the deserts of Arabia to become Arab Muslims?
Where is the logic in that?

phil·is·tine/ˈfiləˌstēn/
Noun:

1. a person who is unreceptive to or hostile towards culture, the arts, etc; a smug boorish person
2. a member of the non-Semitic people who inhabited ancient Philistia (originating from the Aegean or Anatolia).

— adj
3. ( sometimes not capital ) boorishly uncultured
4. of or relating to the ancient Philistines

According to the Bible, they ruled the five city-states (the "Philistine Pentapolis") of Gaza, Askelon, Ashdod, Ekron and Gath,

So it was part of something bigger?

Was it right of England and France to just give it to the Askenasis?

Apparently the UN has decided that it was.
Only the Arabs objected.
