FYI, that isn't "today's news". The article was written in 2009. The Vatican's acceptance of evolution dated back even earlier, in case you don't know.

The Catholic Church had been repeatedly forced to change its views on science thanks to scientists such as Bruno, Galileo, Darwin, etc.

But it was not before the Church burned Bruno to death, house-arrested Galileo, and condemned Darwin before it realized it had no choice but to accept their scientific discoveries.

However, I will give you the benefit of doubt that you might be just talking about yourself, not the Catholic Church in general.

yes man came after animals...
on the adam and eve question...........language was very primitive,so the heart was in the direction of the rib cage..that is were love comes from..for example heart burn comes from acid within the chest area not the heart..so adam created eve through love of god.like god created adam through love of god.remember there were more than these two who came along at this time with man coming along.

the mentality of not only the church but in politics and the every day life of the world was a bit questionable to some at the stages of differing centuries in time.but we/society even act barbaric today.but the church has moved on only governments have kept some of this mentality.but thats for another reason......another topic..

You aren't making any sense. It's not cryptic, it's just incomprehensible. I don't think you even know what you're trying to say. The rib is near to the heart so that somehow means Adam created Eve through love of god? God created Adam through love of god? There were more than these two who came along at this time with man coming along? You are talking, but you're not actually saying anything. Is English your first language?

I think you are right. He has the sort of smug attitude that the very religiously indoctrinated tend to have. If something he says doesn't make sense, it's because we're not smart/spiritual/faithful enough to understand his deep wisdom.

I told him sure organic molecule or even simple DNA code can be made from chemical molecules. I challnged him to make life form ( simple bee would do) by praying infront of a glass of water or by chanting Hare Rama etc thousand times.

On serious note I tried to convince that mother nature didnt produce a mosquito or elephant overnite. There were microbes, single cell organism, algae, fungus, amoeba, multicellular organism, organisms without organella or complex organs and then we had invertebrates some 1000 million years later and finally fish, reptiles and mammals.
