Of those 13150, according to the last census, were "Romani", or gypsies, the original kind we do not have many of in the UK, a group of people who left North West India in the early Middle Ages, and lead a travelling life, on the whole, but some settle down and live in flats or houses, and work in normal jobs.
As a percentage they are a minority amounting to just 0.13% in the Czech Republic. However some 50% of inmates in Czech prisons are from that minority. In normal circumstances you should be able to conclude that committing offences and being a gypsy are statistically related, and a gypsy in much more likely to become involved in crime than other Czechs. Statistics do not tell us reasons, they merely alert us of something, and we need to work it out from there.
Now, guess what... This is a TOTAL taboo subject in the Czech republic. it is RACIST to suggest that gypsies have a problem with committing offences. To merely suggest that something needs to be done about this problem to reduce crime makes you a right-wing Nazi.
But the same Czechs who say that all the gypsies they know are decent people will buy a steering lock for their car if some move to their neighbourhood, forbid their children to play with gypsy children and keep their shoes inside the house, instead of on the doormat as it is the custom anywhere east of Hanover...
So you consider gypsies as genetically prone to committing offences? If not what is your solution?White people of the old forum were saying that they allow even their grand children to play with those of the blacks and are not in any way enamoured of the pure white Arya status Hitler gave them etc etc.
