Israeli comics exhibit gives offended Muslim student new thing to destroy

A Muslim student at the University of Duisburg-Essen in western Germany ripped up part of a graphic novel exhibit featuring artwork by notable Israeli artist and Tel Aviv resident Rutu Modan.

The female student was not identified by German media beyond her gender, reports The Jerusalem Post.

The exhibit, entitled “What Comics Can Do! Recent Trends in Graphic Fiction,” opened at the end of May in the library of the university that enrolls close to 40,000 students.

Late last month, the offended Muslim student used scissors to cut certain images from a collage including parts of Modan’s most famous graphic novel, “Exit Wounds” (called “Blutspuren” in German).

One feature of the montage related to Modan was a peace demonstration set in Israel. The collage also included a poster with the word “Shalom,” a Hebrew word signifying complete peace.

As a result of the student’s handiwork, school officials promptly closed the exhibit.

Rector Ulrich Radtke said that school officials would meet with the Muslim student and discuss what she did, notes the Post. He also said that the school may reprimand her in some way, including by instigating legal aciton.

Reviews of “Exit Wounds” are generally favorable at web retail giant Close to two dozen critics give the graphic novel an average of four-and-a-half stars.

“Set in modern-day Tel Aviv, a young man, Koby Franco, receives an urgent phone call from a female soldier,” reads the Amazon summary. “Learning that his estranged father may have been a victim of a suicide bombing in Hadera, Koby reluctantly joins the soldier in searching for clues.”

Left-wing German journalist Pascal Beucker suggested that the Muslim vandal had “an anti- Israel, if not anti-Semitic motive,” according to The Jerusalem Post.

Beucker also wrote that school officials are baffled by the incident.

The Post highlights German media accounts indicating that additional unnamed Muslim students were offended by the larger exhibit.

A part of the exhibit featuring the epic, complex graphic novel “Habibi” by American author Craig Thompson proved particularly provoking to Muslim student sensibilities because of its sex scenes and because it contains a depiction of the word “Allah” in Arabic calligraphy.

The part of the exhibit including Thompson’s work does not appear to have been vandalized. ... 04607.html

Former German Socialist Chancellor "Islamic Immigration is the Problem”

By Daniel Greenfield

Helmut Schmidt should be around 95 now, so I assume he doesn’t know that he’s not supposed to say that sort of thing

But I also doubt very much that he will get the Thilo Sarrazin treatment. Thilo Sarrazin was lynched for a distorted version of his statement when the real objection was his criticism of immigration.

Schmidt was SPD putting him on the left side of the dial. He was a Socialist leader, but he also has a history of taking positions that are more to the right. Especially after leaving office where he now opposes Turkey’s entry into the EU and denounces Warmunism as "hysteria”. And he is skeptical of the guest-worker boom.

Former German Chancellor Helmut Schmidt stated that bringing millions of Turkish guest-workers into Germany was a mistake and that multiculturalism can only work under authoritarian regimes. Schmidt told Hamburger Abendblatt reporters that:

"The concept of multiculturalism is difficult to make fit with a democratic society.”

The common theme is culture.

"Given the great cultural differences and geographical concerns I must … recommend against taking Turkey into the European Union,” writes Schmidt.

Islam is another issue of concern to the E.U. says Schmidt: "The outcome of the re-Islamisation process is uncertain and fundamentalism is possible.”

A further problem raised by Schmidt is immigration. Germany has 2.1 million Turkish nationals whom Schmidt says have failed to integrate in the sense of a melting pot.

"No real integration of additional immigrants can be expected and immigration thus need to be limited by the E.U.,” he says. Turkish membership in the European Union would throw open the bloc to free immigration by Turks.

So Schmidt’s latest comments are not surprising.

Helmut Schmidt: As regards Italy or Greece, there’s no problem. One day the Italians and the Greeks will go home or they’ll integrate into society in the course of time. That’s what we’ve seen for decades. The problem isn’t due to Italian, Greek or Spanish immigration. The problem is due to immigration from foreign cultures, for example cultures marked by Islam. Berlin...A city with an entire Turkish Muslim community. Where in the old days girls and boys never had separate sports lessons. But that time is long gone. Of course in this article they do not tell us why boys and girls must be split for sports. They can't, because if they do the racist finger will be pointed . But we do know anyway...

Boys and girls can be split for sports

Schools can separate girls and boys for sports lessons, a court in Berlin said on Tuesday. The ruling rejects a complaint from parents who said separate lessons were sexist discrimination.

A Berlin family complained after they found their two daughters, along with their female classmates, were being sent to different sports classes than the boys.

While this is normal practice in many German schools, the family felt it was teaching their girls the wrong lesson.

The family, residents of Berlin's south-western Zehlendorf district, took the matter to court claiming that children in state-run schools have the right to mixed education if they want it.

But the city's administrative court ruled against the complaint. “Parents cannot demand that their children are constantly taught in a co-educational [environment],” it said in a ruling released on Tuesday.

“That's not our point at all,” the girls' mother told Berlin's Der Tagesspiegel newspaper. “For us it's more that children should not be excluded from groups just because of their sex,” she said, adding that the practice only confirmed cliched gender roles.

One female sports teacher, for instance, had told her seven-year-old youngest daughter that boys could throw better and that was why girls didn't play with them, the mother said. The family is now planning to appeal the decision.

Under local law, Berlin schools are allowed to choose for themselves whether they separate boys and girls for physical education classes – usually from the age of ten onwards.

The main argument for separate sports is based on the differences between boys' and girls' physical development and the resulting difference in performance, wrote the paper.

Also, during puberty, any activity involving physical contact could be over-sexualised, experts agree, and single-sex classes help to avoid this.

Yet educational researchers still disagree on whether separate or mixed sports lessons are better to encourage equal chances for boys and girls, the paper said.

Muslims youths jeer maliciously as fire brigade try to extinguish a fire in burning church

"I am shocked that not everyone was shocked tonight," said Pastor Renate Muckelberg, referring to scenes the police and fire brigade had to experience: almost exuberant youths going wild on the relaxed raging youths on the Sperberhorst, malicious calls and young provocative thugs tearing past on bikes; mobile phones were filming everywhere.

Well my dear Pastor Renate Muckelberg, get used to it, because Germany is slowly taken over by Muslims, and Muslims don't care when churches are burning. And you are as guilty as anyone pastor, because your church and also you, political correct German gutmensch did do nothing to stop them.

Brandenburg: Islamic religious "police" severely beat up couple

Muslims from Chechnya have subjected a couple which had fled from the Caucasus to a severe beating in the central Refugee Reception centre in the Brandenburg city of Eisenhüttenstadt, for alleged immoral behavior. The news magazine "Focus" reports, the pregnant 23-year-old Zulikhan S. lost her unborn child in this action of “punishment”.

The attackers had kicked her in the stomach, among other things. Her husband, who was severely injured by numerous blows, was admitted to hospital as an inpatient. Ten men forcibly entered the room of the couple on Friday of last week. The 38-year-old leader is said to have enforced "traditional values" of Islam on several occasions in the Reception Centre, as the paper "Focus" reports, referring to the police interrogation records. The man seems to be, according to "focus", a member of the radical separatist movement "Caucasus Emirate". Other members of this group were the two Boston bombers, the brothers Tsarnaev. An investigator from the Office of the Federal Criminal Police said to "focus": "People come from the Civil War, they are brutalized." German security officials warn against "uncontrolled immigration in relation to Chechen refugees ", which allegedly is being used by Islamists and other criminals.

New conspiratorial networks were the basis for the classic organized crime such as human trafficking, arms and drug trafficking, they say. ... en-003.htm

Berlin, you are so wonderful

The drag artist Estelle van der Rhone was physically attacked in front of a bar in Mehringdamm. According to Rhone, the background was that a young man felt provoked by his women's clothing.

The current "Miss CSD" [Christopher Street Day], was spat on and beaten on Sunday evening in front of the bar "Rauschgold" on Mehringdamm in Kreuzberg. The 28-year-old drag artist Estelle van der Rhone filed a complaint about the incident on Monday via the police internet service. There he said that he was with friends in the bar in Mehringdamm. Apparently "young men with an immigrant background" felt provoked by the women's clothing the drag artist was wearing. They are said to have initially spat on him and insulted him.

Then one of the group struck the 28-year-old on the upper body with his fist. As the victim called for help, the attackers ran away.

The complaint does not specify clearly the content of the insults, said the police, therefore so far it has not been possible to classify the incident as a homophobic attack.

Germany: City Government Demands Shop Owners Avoid Using Christian Symbols in Christmas Lights

The aim of refraining from the use of Christian symbols in the new Christmas lights in the city centre has met with criticism and incomprehension. "This is misinterpretation of what tolerance means," said the former city deacon, Father Heinz-Manfred Jansen, speaking to the ST [newspaper]. Christian festivals would be senseless and empty if their content was no longer understood.

Even in the city hall there is unhappiness about the plans from retailers and city management. Tolerance among religions should allow for Christmas lights to contain recognisably Christian symbols, explained city manager Hartmut Hoferichter.

The cause of the irritation is statements made by Christoph Krafczyk. The city manager from the city centre office had indicated that the new lighting concept for Christmas time would aim for "neutral elements". It should appeal to everyone, he said, "in the end we are living in a multicultural world".

...Germany always succeeded in integrating people of another faith, without forgetting its own traditions in the process, said Solingen's FDP leader Ulrich G. Müller. "Why should we deny our own roots? We are still the majority in this city. And those who are coming to us, and living here in the third or fourth generation will have these roots sometime too." ... -shop.html

No. It means any culture but the indigenous one. It should really be re-named something like "alterculturalism" or, more directly, "foreignculturalism" - but that would no doubt be condemned as racist hatethoughtcrime.

Soon there are elections in Germany, and Chancellor Merkel is afraid her party will lose. So what to do?
Just what Germany needs...More Turks... :)

In an appearance on Turkish television, Chancellor Merkel has campaigned for the votes of German-Turks in the federal elections on 22 September. According to a report from the news agency Anadolu, the Chancellor, appearing on the channel TGRT Europe, raised the prospect of easing restrictions on the awarding of visas. However no change was apparent in her sceptical attitude on the question of Turkey's membership of the EU.

The almost 700,000 voters of Turkish descent in Germany traditionally tend to vote for the SPD [Socialists] and Greens; according to a poll for the website of the "Deutsch-Türkischen Journals" [German-Turkish Journal] around 43 per cent of German-Turks vote SPD, followed by the Greens with around 22 per cent and the CDU [tn: Merkel's party, mainstream right] with around 20 per cent.

German voters already know that whichever party wins September's election will only bring more of the same: more restriction of German sovereignty. It is therefore no surprise that, at least for indigenous Germans, the turnout is expected to be low. The Islamic immigrants, however, hope that by turning out massively, they will be able to support candidates who will favor the further Islamification of Germany.

The German general elections next month will decide the future of Europe's largest nation and economic powerhouse. The elections are likely to be close. Left and Right are almost equally large blocs in Germany. A recent poll gave the Christian-Democrat CDU of Chancellor Angela Merkel and its Liberal partner FPD, who form the present center-right government coalition, 46% of the vote. Exactly the same percentage went to the opposition parties on the Left.

Hence, as before, a small margin of voters may decide whether Angela Merkel will continue as Chancellor after the September 22nd elections or whether her challenger Peer Steinbrueck, the leader of the Social-Democrat SPD, will take over in a coalition with the Greens and other smaller parties on the Left.

With the outcome of the elections so close, the votes of Germany's large Muslim immigrant population are immensely important. In the September 2002 general elections, the Social-Democrat Gerhard Schroeder beat his Christian-Democrat opponent Edmund Stoiber with the slightest of margins – barely 8,864 votes. The overwhelming support of the almost 1 million Islamic voters for Mr. Schroeder decided the outcome of the 2002 elections in favor of the Left.

Most of Germany's Muslims are of Turkish origin. On a total of 80 million inhabitants, Germany has over 3 million citizens of Turkish origin, forming over 4% of the population. READ MORE

Berlin: Muslims Attack Police Because They Were Driving Too Slowly While Turkish and Arab Mob Looks On

A police car was attacked in Neukölln. The driver and his companion were upset about the driving style of a police officer. One of the two struck a (female) police officer in the face. 70 people looked on and even filmed the scene. None of them came to help the officer.

Police officers have again been attacked and injured in Berlin. On Thursday young men in Neukölln attacked a police car because the driving style of the police officers did not suit the perpetrators.

At 4.50 pm the police car entered Karl-Marx-Straße [tn: very appropriate!] following an alert about a traffic accident. As the officers searched the scene without noticing anyone, they were driving slowly along the right lane of Karl-Marx-Straße towards Grenzallee.

According to police information, the radio car stopped in front of a shopping centre in the second lane at the corner of Flughafenstraße, when a BMW stopped next to it in the left lane. According to witnesses, the 26-year-old driver Bahadi Ö. screamed through the open window that the police car should drive more quickly. Then he turned the BMW in front of the police car and stopped. Bahadi Ö. and his seven years younger brother Ilyas got out and approached the police officers. In the tussle that followed, one of the two struck a 33-year-old policewoman in the face.

Which of the two struck the blow has not yet been definitively clarified. Both men then climbed back into their car. Neither wanted to comply with the demand that they remain, so the female police officer opened the door on the driver's side. The driver Bahadi Ö. closed the door again, striking the police officer on the shoulder. Another police car that had been alerted in the meantime prevented the escape of the aggressive brothers and took down their personal details. Afterwards both were allowed to drive away. They were charged with assault, resistance to an officer of the law and intimidating driving.

The slightly injured policewoman complained about pains in her shoulder and head but did not need to be treated by a doctor. She continued to work.

During the deployment a cluster of more than 70 youths and young men of Turkish and Arab background gathered to follow the events. "No one came to help the officers," said a police spokesman. Witnesses report that shop owners closed their doors and made films and photos with their mobile phones ... cause.html

They do not respect the police anymore.

Let's see what a German has to say about this incident.

Typical political correctness.
Had the perpetrators been non-muslim thay would be arrested. But in Germany everybody is afraid of the issue...and it is not even funny anymore. There are no-go areas especially for woman-police officers. Even if the two attackers would beat the police officers to death , I bet nobody from the crowd of 70 would help. They would even cherrish the bandits. That is reality in a country which contributes to destruction of the european culture by not having enough balls to destroy the muslim threat.

They probably thought the police had no right driving round a "Muslim" district at all, never mind going slowly looking for probably-Muslim trouble-makers. Or it may simply have been "Looking at me like that? I'll do for you mate!".
As for a "figure of authority" - no, all authority comes from Allah and none is granted to a kaffir, let alone a kaffir woman.

German Converts to Islam Ethnically Cleansing Christians in Syria

The Nazis are back. They just had to stop by a mosque and convert to Islam first.

German Islamists participated in the murders of Syrian Christians in an early August attack on the Turkish-Syrian border, according to a report in the German magazine FOCUS.

The magazine reported last week the involvement of nearly 100 “fanatical” German Muslims, including Germans who converted to Islam, in the Syrian civil war.

A German police official told the magazine that “the complicity of Germans in the extermination and ethnic cleansing in Syria is a sheer intolerable condition.”

Prosecutors are examining whether the German Muslims can be charged with participation in a terrorist organization.

Why not charge them with crimes against humanity? For that matter why not treat them and the rest of the Al Qaeda-Muslim Brotherhood gang the way that NATO treated the Serbs?

Nuremberg established that following orders is not an excuse. Even when they are the orders of a warlord who has been dead for over a thousand years. But this intolerable state of affairs is due entirely to the mosques on German soil whose faith preaches the subjugation or extermination of non-Muslims.

Islam is the new Nazism in Europe.

In a video cited in the FOCUS report, which appears in German and Arabic, German jihadists praise the expulsion of Christians from the Syrian villages. The video shows between nine and 10 jihadis walking by dead people. Baehr said it is difficult to ascertain if the dead individuals are Christians.

One Islamic combatant strikes the head of a dead Syrian soldier in the video.

Former gangster rapper from Berlin, Denis Cuspert (a.k.a Deso Dogg), is believed to be fighting with the al-Qaida-linked al-Nusra Front. German counter-terrorism officials view Cuspert as a powerful recruitment tool. He made a video before his departure to Syria, urging Muslims to join the jihad in Syria.

Deso Dogg, whom I’ve written about in the past, is the product of an African father and a German mother, whose stepfather was a US soldier stationed in Germany, who eventually converted to Islam. And Dogg’s plans for Islamic terror extend far beyond Syria.

“You are not going to live in safety. You employ millions and billions for the war against Islam. And that’s why this country is here, the Federal Republic of Germany, is a war zone.”

Clearly this is a problem that can only be solved with more Muslim immigrants. ... -in-syria/

German Islamists increasingly going to Syria

Germany's domestic security agency has recorded what experts regard as an alarming trend. A growing number of young Germans are traveling to Syria to aid the opposition, potentially getting radicalized along the way.

As the international community weighs its response - if any - to a chemical weapons attack on August 21 suspected to have come from Syrian President Bashar al-Assad's forces, some young Islamist Germans seem to be taking matters into their own hands.

They include men who have traveled the thousands of kilometers from Hamburg to Syria in order to support rebel groups' fighting against Assad. Some arrived by car, while others flew to Turkey before venturing across the border to Syria. Evidence gathered by public broadcaster, North German Radio (NDR), indicates that around a dozen young Islamists from Hamburg alone have gone to fight in the Syrian civil war since the start of 2013.

"The striking thing about them is that they are very young. In some cases, they are just 18 or 19 years old," said Carolin Fromme, who researched the story for NDR.

Most of them have German citizenship but come from immigrant families, Fromme pointed out.

Suspicious associations

"We know from security officials that they have partly been active in youth associations in Hamburg," the journalist said. Some, she continued, have been in contact with the Hizb-u-Tahrir group, which is banned in Germany for its opposition to constitutional principles. The pan-Islamic political group is suspected of recruiting young men in Germany.

A mosque in the city of Kiel, northeast of Hamburg, has been under scrutiny by Germany's domestic security agency for years. Most recently, the Ibnu Taymiya mosque made headlines when a German-Chechen man, Aslanbek F., died in Syria in 2013. Aslanbek F. reportedly joined an organized network of jihadists after having first made contact with the group at the mosque in Kiel.

Torsten Voss is deputy head of Hamburg's division of Germany's security agency, the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution, and he has followed the country's Islamist scene closely. Describing its members' motives, he said, "It's people who support jihad. They want to get radicalized by taking part in combat actions," he said, noting also that some of those under observation by authorities merely lend financial support to Islamist groups.

Leaving in growing numbers

However, many of those associated with the groups have not yet been classed as Islamists. Voss believes the young men traveling to Syria are doing so in part because they want to be seen there by friends and followers on social networks. They often pose with weapons, which helps cement their reputations in Hamburg's extremist scene, Voss said.

Numbers kept by the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution, Germany's domestic intelligence service, suggest that interpretation may be accurate: Six of the men returned home to Hamburg after just a few weeks in Syria. However, what they did on the way to and in Syria cannot always be determined. It's also unclear whether all of them did, in fact, reach their destinations.

The security agency has recorded 120 people from throughout Germany who have traveled to Syria and are suspected of supporting Islamist groups. This number has risen dramatically in recent months. The Schleswig-Holstein State Interior Minister Andreas Breitner expressed concern about the risk stemming from such individuals should they get radicalized further and return with a greater propensity for violence. Breitner noted that many of them have also received training in terror camps.

The head of the Federal Office for the Protection of the Constitution, Hans-Georg Maassen, has taken a similar view, saying, "When they come back, they are often celebrated as heroes in the scene. Emotions run so high among many of those who return that there's a danger of them preparing attacks in Germany or encouraging others to do the same."

Risks for Germany?

NDR journalist Carolin Fromme believes there are no concrete plans for attacks in Germany, but added, "six of those who have returned to Hamburg from Syria have also learned how to use weapons or met new contacts. And security officials are watching that very closely now."

German authorities have ways to try and hinder suspected Islamists from going abroad, including suspending travel documents, but some manage to leave the country anyway. It is easy to reach Syria from Turkey and many are capable of traveling close to Syria without a passport, just using personal ID cards. ... a-17073714

Perhaps enceladus, but I am not as elated as you are , because those girls are only allowed to swim in burkinis, provided by the school as far as I remember. I still think this decision of the court is not a win but a loss . It would have been a win as the girls had to take part in normal swimsuits.

Berlin: Muslims Claim They Face Racial Discrimination Because There are Too Many Muslims in Their Children's Class at School

Their children have apparently not passed the test year in the grammar school because the share of immigrants in the class was so high. For these reasons, the parents of Turkish origin have filed a complaint against a grammar school in Neukölln.

The parents of two children of Turkish origin and one of Arab origin have filed a complaint against the senate education administration. Their accusation: the high proportion of immigrants in class 7.5 of the Leondardo-da-Vinci grammar school in Buckow led the three pupils to fail the test year in the previous year. The unusual complaint will be dealt with next Thursday in the Berlin Administrative Court.

The parents complain that their children were in a class with an especially high proportion of children of Turkish origin, who also mostly had come from a primary school in North Neukölln with a difficult pupil population. "In our view the class division led to ethnic discrimination against the complainants," said lawyer Carsten Ilius, who represents the three pupils.

The school set up the nine 7th year classes in a professional way using its own latitude for judgement, stressed, by contrast, Beate Stoffers, spokeswoman for the educational administration. At the start of the school year eight 7th year classes were set up. In these, the share of children of non-German speaking background in one class, a Latin class, was only 13 per cent, in two other classes, by contrast, it was 63 per cent each. The school made the division based on foreign language option, participation in evangelical or Catholic religious instruction and mix of abilities, emphasised the educational administration. In addition, an objective was that friends from primary school should be in one class. ... acial.html

Munich: Bank Accounts of Islam Critics Frozen and Closed Without Notice

I've mentioned the Islam critic Michael Stürzenberger a few times. He is spearheading a campaign protesting against the construction of an Islamic centre in Munich, hoping to gather enough signatures to be able to force a referendum on the issue.

He received this letter from his bank.

Termination without notice

Dear Mr Stürzenberger,

Subsequent to our termination without notice dated 20/09/2013, in accordance with clause 19, no. 3 of our general terms and conditions, we hereby terminate the business relation exceptionally and without notice.

Due to numerous complaints from our esteemed customers, our attention has been drawn to web pages in which the Münchner Bank eG and the account number given to you are mentioned in connection with calls for donations. The content of these web pages and your own personal approach is compatible neither with the coopeative principles nor with the intentions of our customers or our company. It is therefore unreasonable for us to continue our business relationship with you until the expiry of the notice period that forms part of an orderly termination procedure.

The account will be immediately frozen and is unavailable for any further transactions. Please name an account number with another bank so that the balance may be transferred there.

With the highest regards
Münchner Bank eG

Another Islam critic, wheelchair-bound activist Christian Holz, who cooperates with Stürzenberger, has also had four separate bank accounts closed without notice, one of them belonging to a child sports association, of which he is chairman.

Holz is a long-standing political activist, a former member of the Socialist, Left and Green parties, who joined the Islam-critical Freiheit (Freedom) party in recent years when he saw that leftist parties were ideologically incapable of dealing with the threat of Islam.

While appearing at Die Freiheit's public events, he has been physically struck and left bleeding by leftists and his disability has been mocked. "Stand up when you talk to me!". Now his bank accounts have been closed without notice and without notification! Unlike Stürzenberger, he has received no communication from the bank about it. When his online password didn't work, he simply assumed he had typed it in wrongly or had some problem with his computer. After spending a morning checking all his bank account details were being entered correctly and running virus scanners and the like, he realised something else was going on.
