Woman moves from ‘dangerous’ Sweden to ‘safe’ Hungary and many follow her

In an interview with Hungarian news channel M1, a woman says she left Sweden after 40 years because of increasing migrant crime.

The woman now lives in Hungary and according to her, “There is no safety at all” in Sweden and “things have gotten worse”. She says she is not the only one leaving the country; others in Sweden are doing the same and “Left the country as well”.

The woman now lives in Hungary, a country that is “the safest” because of its laws and migration policies, she says.

Swedes don’t want to be teachers anymore due to dangerous school environments

By CHRISTINA JOHANSSON

Sweden has growing difficulties in recruiting teachers due to a lack of respect and safety at its schools. Many teachers witness harassments, violence and teenagers that threaten and sexually abuse fellow pupils and teachers.

Swedish schools are now planning on reinforcing security measures in schools due to the aggravated situation. There are a growing number of violent conflicts, often involving knives and other kinds of weapons.

Last year, a 17- year old Afghani refugee was stabbed to death by another 17-year old Afghani pupil in a school in south of Stockholm.

But many serious incidents never reach mainstream media. Even schools that have previously been more or less calm are now ridden by severe problems, often connected to groups of different ethnicities and problems involving “honour”.

Principals are often trying to cover up those problems, trying to pretend everything is under control. But reports leak out and the picture is not pretty. The Swedish authorities are desperately trying to straighten up the situation. Predictions for the future are that there will be a huge shortage of qualified personnel in Swedish schools.

The numbers mentioned by Swedish government are as high as shortage of 60,000 teachers for the coming years. One of the reasons is that fewer people are interested in working as teachers is the dangerous situation in schools as described above.

Among others, also the problems with poor knowledge of the Swedish language are rising. One of the solutions to find staff is to give a quick education to foreigners according to a new programme, ULV – education for foreign teachers.

This education corresponds to two years of education and requirement is to be proficient in speaking Swedish. The problem now is that those foreigners who are applying in fact don’t have sufficient knowledge of Swedish – which could even more chaotic situations in classrooms when those teachers cannot communicate with the pupils they are supposed to lead.

A problem rarely mentioned is accent. People speaking a foreign language might find their spoken words difficult to understand because of their accent, no matter how good their command of the language itself is. My own school-level French, for example, is mediocre but may well be unintellegible to a Parisian. At least in that case a lot of words have similar structures, which helps with pronounciation - I imagine that's not the case between Swedish and Arabic.

When you dump kids in schools who don't speak the language of the lessons and you do or cannot not provide support for them, sure you get problems in class. There will be low to medium scale disruption , some truancy, and such, possibly even some fighting between kids or some rudeness to teachers. But threats to teachers, violence and sexual assaults on other kids are not caused by language problems, and they cannot be excused by that.

In fact, learning a language is not that hard and if you are in an "immersive" environment, provided you get some support and encouragement, and most importantly, you actually WANT to learn the language. An averagely intelligent person can learn a new language in that situation in about 6 months, good enough to follow classes, and general conversation, but perhaps not yet for good writing skills.

Most school kids are incredible with a language if the really have to learn it. This says a lot about foreign language teaching in schools: in England leave school with mostly just one foreign language, at a level so basic that you could get there in a few weeks. But of you see, say, a Chinese or South American kid freshly arrived in school and again in just a few months, you would not believe the difference.

Sweden’s violent reality is undoing a peaceful self-image

Shootings have become so common that they don’t make top headlines anymore.

Sweden may be known for its popular music, IKEA and a generous welfare state. It is also increasingly associated with a rising number of Islamic State recruits, bombings and hand grenade attacks.

In a period of two weeks earlier this year, five explosions took place in the country. It’s not unusual these days — Swedes have grown accustomed to headlines of violent crime, witness intimidation and gangland executions. In a country long renowned for its safety, voters cite “law and order” as the most important issue ahead of the general election in September.

The topic of crime is sensitive, however, and debate about the issue in the consensus-oriented Scandinavian society is restricted by taboos.

To understand crime in Sweden, it’s important to note that Sweden has benefited from the West’s broad decline in deadly violence, particularly when it comes to spontaneous violence and alcohol-related killings. The overall drop in homicides has been, however, far smaller in Sweden than in neighboring countries.

Shootings in the country have become so common that they don’t make top headlines anymore, unless they are spectacular or lead to fatalities.

Gang-related gun murders, now mainly a phenomenon among men with immigrant backgrounds in the country’s parallel societies, increased from 4 per year in the early 1990s to around 40 last year. Because of this, Sweden has gone from being a low-crime country to having homicide rates significantly above the Western European average. Social unrest, with car torchings, attacks on first responders and even riots, is a recurring phenomenon.

Shootings in the country have become so common that they don’t make top headlines anymore, unless they are spectacular or lead to fatalities. News of attacks are quickly replaced with headlines about sports events and celebrities, as readers have become desensitized to the violence. A generation ago, bombings against the police and riots were extremely rare events. Today, reading about such incidents is considered part of daily life.

The rising levels of violence have not gone unnoticed by Sweden’s Scandinavian neighbors. Norwegians commonly use the phrase “Swedish conditions” to describe crime and social unrest. The view from Denmark was made clear when former President of NATO and Danish Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen said in an interview on Swedish TV: “I often use Sweden as a deterring example.”

In response, the Swedish government has launched an international campaign for “the image of Sweden” playing down the rise in crime, both in its media strategy and through tax-funded PR campaigns. During a visit to the White House in March, Sweden’s Prime Minister Stefan Löfven admitted that his country has problems with crime and specifically shootings, but denied the existence of no-go zones. Sweden’s education minister, Gustav Fridolin, traveled to Hungary last week with the same message.

But the reality is different for those on the ground: The head of the paramedics’ union Ambulansförbundet, Gordon Grattidge, and his predecessor Henrik Johansson recently told me in an interview that some neighborhoods are definitely no-go for ambulance drivers — at least without police protection.

Swedes are not prone to grandiose manifestations of national pride, but the notion of a “Swedish Model” — that the country has much to teach the world — is a vital part of the national self image.

Since crime is intimately linked to the country’s failure to integrate its immigrants, the rise in violence is a sensitive subject. When the Swedish government and opposition refer to the country as a “humanitarian superpower” because it opened its doors to more immigrants per capita during the migrant crisis than any other EU country, they mean it. This has resulted in some impressive contortions.

In March, Labor Market Minister Ylva Johansson appeared on the BBC, where she claimed that the number of reported rapes and sexual harassment cases “is going down and going down and going down.” In fact, the opposite is true, which Johansson later admitted in an apology.

Similarly, in an op-ed for the Washington Post, former Prime Minister Carl Bildt described the country’s immigration policy as a success story. He did not elaborate on violent crime. After repeated attacks against Jewish institutions in December — including the firebombing of a synagogue in Gothenburg — Bildt took to the same paper to claim that anti-Semitism is not a major problem in Sweden.

“Historically, in Sweden it was the Catholics that were seen as the dangerous threat that had to be fought and restricted,” Bildt claimed, seemingly unaware that the laws he cited also applied to Jews. Intermarriage was illegal and hostility was based on ideas of Jews as racially inferior. Bildt’s attempt to relativize current anti-Semitism with odd and inaccurate historical arguments reflects how nervously Swedish elites react to negative headlines about their country.

Another spectacular example is an official government website on “Facts about migration, integration and crime in Sweden,” which alleges to debunk myths about the country. One “false claim” listed by the government is that “Not long ago, Sweden saw its first Islamic terrorist attack.”

This is surprising, since the Uzbek jihadist Rakhmat Akilov has pleaded guilty to the truck ramming that killed five people in Stockholm last April and swore allegiance to the Islamic State prior to the attack. Akilov, who is currently standing trial, has proudly repeated his support for ISIS and stated that his motive was to kill Swedish citizens. He also had documented contacts with international jihadis.

The government’s excuse for denying the Islamic terrorist attack in Sweden is that no Islamic group has officially claimed responsibility. Given the importance these days of fighting fake news, the Swedish government’s tampering with politically inconvenient facts looks particularly irresponsible.

Sometimes it takes an outsider to put things in perspective. A recent piece by Bojan Pancevski in London’s Sunday Times put a spotlight on immigration and violent crime. The article caused a scandal in Sweden and was widely seen as part of the reason why the British and Canadian foreign ministries issued travel advice about the country, citing gang crime and explosions. “They make it sound as if violence is out of control,” said Stefan Sintéus, Malmö’s chief of police.

It didn’t seem to occur to the police chief that both the travel advice and the article could reflect the same underlying reality. After all, only a few days earlier, a police station in Malmö was rocked by a hand grenade attack. Earlier the same month, a police car in the city was destroyed in an explosion.

Officials may be resigned to the situation. But in a Western European country in peacetime, it is reasonable to view such levels of violence as out of control.

Syrian refugee rapes 12 y/o Swedish girl because ‘he didn’t know it was illegal’

An unaccompanied refugee “child” has been sentenced to 6 months of youth detention for raping a 12-year-old girl in Sweden. In a police interview, the Syrian said that he did not know it was illegal to have sex with a child. The teen has also been convicted of other serious crimes, but will not be deported.

The investigation into the case started after Swedish journalist Joakim Lamotte revealed that the police ignored the rape case of the young girl, Fria Tider reports.

After Lamotte’s revelation, a national debate was ignited in which the national police commissioner and Prime Minister Stefan Löfven were involved. After almost a year the research of the case was finished, Lamotte wrote ‘a shame’ in a Facebook post.

Uddevalla District court found the man guilty of two counts of child rape, sentencing him to 6 months of youth detention. This judgement included punishment for threats made by the man to an official and a school-girl. The Syrian has also been ordered to pay the 12-year-old victim SEK 140,000 (13,300 euros) in damages.

During questioning, the Syrian migrant stated that he was unaware that it was forbidden to have intercourse with a person younger than 15 years of age. However, the judge made it clear that ignorance of the law is not an excuse, and therefore this defence had no effect on the judgment.

The age of consent in Syria is 15, per Article 491. Article 491: 1, and intercourse with a minor is punishable by 9 years’ imprisonment at hard labour. However, in many Islamic communities, sexual maturity is informally dictated by Sharia law, which indicates that it can be reached from the age of 9 lunar years (approximately eight years and eight months), and so breaches of Syrian law often go unpunished.

According to court, the man was 17 years of age and came to Sweden from Syria in 2014 as an unaccompanied child refugee.

Swedish minister says the country’s elderly are the problem and not refugees

Sweden’s Minister of Social Affairs, Annika Strandhäll, told newspaper Aftonbladet that the country’s elderly and not refugees, are overloading the healthcare system.

The Swedish health care system is so overloaded that the care queues for surgery are so long that patients literally start to rot, Aftonbladet reported earlier.

Strandhäl is convinced this is not due to mass migration to Sweden. When readers of Aftonbladet claim that it is the acceptance of refugees that has made Swedish healthcare worse, the minister answers:

“That’s not true, that’s not true! We have a rapidly aging population in Sweden. Life expectancy increases by 3.5 hours a day and we have a larger number of chroniclers with life-long relationships with healthcare today than 30 years ago.”

According to Strandhäll, “the number of people aged 70 years and older will increase by 300,000 by 2025. That is the big problem, according to her. Refugee reception has nothing to do with it”.

At least some people in Sweden are waking up . I hope for the sake of the real Swedes that many people are going to vote for Alternative for Sweden (AfS) party. Perhaps Sweden can still be saved.

Swedish party leader says multiculturalism is a ‘total failure’: Wants to reconsider all residence permits since the year 2000

Gustav Kasselstrand, the leader and founder of the new Alternative for Sweden (AfS) party, has attacked his country’s migration policy. Kasselstrand has serious plans to send migrants back who don’t integrate, Sweden’s Fria Tider reports.

Kasselstrand says Sweden’s ‘multiculture is an impossibility and a total failure’. According to him It is not possible to combine widely different peoples in one country and expect good results.

“The historical experience of multicultural societies points to the opposite. Disagreements and conflicts, not a harmonious social life […] is the result of multiculturalism and mass immigration,” he said.

Kasselstrand added that “Alternative for Sweden will never have a so-called integration policy. If immigrants cannot integrate themselves in Sweden, they will receive a ‘single-ticket home’ instead”.

His AfS party has the intention to reconsider all residence permits issued in Sweden since 2000 and could send migrants back who have been granted residence permits on incorrect grounds.

Swedish police warn lots of rapes will happen this summer and advise women not to go out late

After two rape attempts in Östersund this weekend, the police urged women not to go out late. They also issued a warning that “much like this” will happen this summer, Fria Tider reports.

Two similar rape attempts took place this weekend, one on Saturday and one on Sunday. Police explained the same offender could be involved: A 175cm tall man, of about 25 years, dark haired and darkly dressed.

Police investigator Suss Braunerhielm said in an interview with P4 Jämtland: “This summer, more like this will happen, I think” she added that women “should be alert and preferably not go out late”.

She added that people should accept the new situation and that they should take precautionary measures:

“Do not change your life but be vigilant, absolutely. Feel free to talk to your mobile phone, get in touch with someone familiar, preferably do not go late. Then we can probably accept that it’s simple,” Braunerhielm said.

Today, Max Olsson, a Local Police Area Manager, says he disagrees with the statements made by Braunerhielm after the weekend’s events in Östersund.

“I think she meant something different in that interview. We can see that there is a lot more activity outdoors when it’s warm outside. There is nothing specifically we warn women about, while being out in the evenings and late nights,” Olsson told P4 Jämtland.

P4 has asked Suss Braunerhielm for a new comment but without results.

Multicultural Swedish town becomes hell on earth: A girl and two women tell their stories

Staffanstorp is a small town in Skåne, Sweden. After several violent incidents the town’s inhabitants, especially women, feel insecure, news outlet Fria Tider reports.

The stories of the people of Staffanstorp went public after investigative journalist Joakim Lamotte visited the town. Previously the town was only known for a horrible knife incident, for which an Afghan migrant was arrested.

In front of Lamotte’s camera, Swedes describe the town as dangerous and full of violence, with gangs dominating its public space.

One girl tells how she was sexually harassed and punched at her former school every day. “They locked me up in the toilet and hit me with bands. They punched and joked on me. It happened every day,” she says.

“Suddenly they came forward and grab my breasts. After I punched the guy, the whole family came and told me I’m a little horny and that I need to shut up. When I’m out with my dogs, they throw stones on the dogs,” she continues, pointing out that she is afraid of what will happen to her siblings and cousins in the future.

A woman explains that the affected children urge their parents not to do anything, because the gang will take revenge on the children. Another woman tells how she was “brutally” beaten by a gang of 15 people.

But during the live broadcast, a politically correct lawyer suddenly comes across and denies the whole horror image of Staffanstorp. He says the town is ‘peaceful’ during spring.

According to the lawyer, it is completely wrong to contribute to ‘hate’ in society. He claims that Lamotte’s website is “terrible” to read. But one of the girls replies: “People need to know what is happening!”

Arabic becomes Sweden’s second most common language after migrant influx

Arabic has overtaken Finnish as Sweden’s largest minority language, linguist Mikael Parkvall says in newspaper Svenska Dagbladet.

For hundreds of years, Finnish was the second largest mother tongue in Sweden. But not anymore, with the acceptance of hundreds of thousands of Third World migrants, Arabic has taken over second place.

“An historical milestone for languages in Sweden: Arabic is now Sweden’s second most common mother tongue,” Parkvall says.

The Swedish linguist adds that the development is a “historical milestone” because Finnish, according to him, has been the country’s second largest language “as long as Sweden has existed as a nation”.

Parkvall estimates that the number of Arabic speakers in the Scandinavian country of almost 10 million people is “over 200,000.” According to his calculation, the number of Arabic speakers has doubled over the past decade, while the ageing Finnish diaspora has been losing speakers fast.

Willian Hahne, a member of the Alternative for Sweden party replied to the news on Twitter:

“For hundreds of years, Finnish has been the second-largest language in Sweden. Now it’s Arabic. For hundreds of years, Finns have been the largest minority group in Sweden. Now it’s Syrians.”

Another Twitter user, KalleMedKepsen, said:

“The next milestone will be when Arabic becomes the LARGEST native language. It will only take a few decades.”

In relationship to its population, Sweden has welcomed the most asylum seekers in Europe. Since 2015, Sweden accepted over 200,000 migrants on a population of 9.9 million people. Around 24% of the country’s population had a migrant background in 2017.

Sweden is becoming a dangerous country to live in.
Swedish police find cache of assault weapons and link findings to far-left group with ‘political motive’

In a container in Taberg Swedish police found several automatic weapons, police uniforms and wigs, Aftonbladet reports.

Police were alerted to check a broken container in the town and found several assault weapons. Several arrests have been made and the focus of the investigation is shifting from a robbery to a political motive as two persons are connected to a far-left extremist movement.

Of the four persons arrested one has connections to the movement and an arrest warrant was enforced for a man who has connections with the far-left group, too.

Consequently, Sweden’s Security Service (Säpo) has now been given a specific role in the investigation. Säpo’s press officer, Karl Melin, states that he is “aware of the matter”.

“We get information about everything that can affect our area of business, in one way or another. There is always an exchange of information between ourselves and the police,” he said.

Sweden bars refugees from returning to Syria and gives them benefits instead

Syrian refugee Mohamad Sahid Alali wants to give back his Swedish residence permit and return to Syria again. But he gets no help from the authorities to return – instead, Mohamad and his daughters have to stay in Sweden, SVT news reports.

Mohamad left his pregnant wife in Syria when he left the country with his two daughters. He came to Sweden in 2015 and lives on benefits.

But four months ago, he received a phone call from his wife, whom he thought was dead. She stated that she lives and is well and that Mohamad now has a six-year-old son in Syria waiting for him.

“I’m looking for my sisters and my dad,” said the boy in a telephone chat, according to SVT.

Mohamad Sahid Alali judges that it is safe to move home to the Syrian city of Homs, where the war has been over for a long time. But he and the daughters get no help to return, neither by the Migration Board nor the municipality.

The Migration Board makes its own assessment that Syria is “too dangerous” to go home, so the government does not grant any travel allowances to return there, according to SVT News.

Instead, the authorities continue to pay social benefits to Mohamad and his daughters to ‘establish a life’ in Sweden.

Swedish politician: Migrant rape isn’t as bad

Swedish Left Party politician Barbro Sörman has suggested that it’s “worse” when Swedish men rape women, than when immigrants do so.

“The Swedish men who rape do it despite the growing gender equality. They make an active choice. It’s worse imo [in my opinion],” Sörman tweeted.

Sörman, a self-described socialist and a feminist, made the observation in response to what she claimed was excessive media focus on the fact that most of the rapes in Sweden are committed by immigrants.

She explained that Swedish men are brought up in a society that believes in gender equality and therefore should be held to higher standards than migrants, who come from cultures where women are treated as second-rate citizens.

When faced with a storm of indignation, she tried to walk back the comments and admitted that her sentiments had been “clumsily expressed”.

She later deleted her Twitter account altogether.

'Rape capital'

Sweden is widely known as the rape capital of Europe. It has been noted that Muslim immigrants are massively over represented in the official rape statistics.

Sweden has the fastest growing population in Europe, due nearly totally to the influx of Arabs and Muslims from the Middle East. At the same time, its crime rate has increased astronomically: In 1975, 421 rapes were reported to the police; in 2014, it was 6,620.

“77.6 percent of the country’s rapists are identified as “foreigners” (and that’s significant because in Sweden, ‘foreigner’ is generally synonymous with ‘immigrant from Muslim country’), wrote conservative columnist Selwyn Duke. ‘And even this likely understates the issue, since the Swedish government — in an effort to obscure the problem — records second-generation Muslim perpetrators simply as ‘Swedes.’”

Conservative politicians who try to draw attention to this problem have been charged with hate crimes, while some Swedish rape victims are said to be reluctant to report sexual assaults to police because they fear it may “offend” the perpetrators.

Ingrid Carlqvist – editor-in-chief of Dispatch International – has written that "Sweden is fast approaching a complete collapse. More and more municipalities are raising the alarm that if the migrants keep coming at this pace, the government can no longer guarantee normal service to its citizens... If the migrant wave keeps coming, in 10-15 years, Swedes will be a minority in their own country."

Koran school in Sweden teaches Muslim kids to feel superior to non-Muslims

Teaching at a special Koran school in Borlänge becomes increasingly problematic, broadcaster SVT reports. At the school, Muslim children read the Koran but are also taught to only respect other Muslims and to refuse to listen to ‘white people’, a local school head says.

In Borlänge school staff are worried about the effects of Koran education on traditional school education. According to Kent Karlsson, Rector at Tjärnaängs School and Sister School Solängsskolan, students can go to Quran classes 3-5 days a week after their usual school.

Karlsson says at the Koran school they sometimes say: “I do not listen to you because you are white” or “You are not Muslim, why should I listen to you?” This occurs in all age groups, from six-year-olds to thirteen-year-olds, he says to SVT.

Other school staff, who wish to remain anonymous, say that the students are unable to do their regular homework because they are so tired from the Koran school.

Karlsson believes that the Koran school in practice creates even more exclusion in segregated areas. In addition, the Koran students are acting hostile to Swedes.

It is worrying if the Koran school teaches an “us and them” concept, which makes students only respect other Muslims, Karlsson warns.

Swedish Bråvalla Music Festival Permanently Cancelled After Wave of Sex Attacks

The organisers of Sweden’s largest music festival have announced that the event will come to a close after cancelling this year’s festival following a wave of sex attacks last year.

Organisers FKP Scorpio announced that there are no plans to put on another Bråvalla festival again this after speculation that the festival may occur in 2019 despite being cancelled this year, Norrköpings Tidningar reports.

Kajsa Apelqvist, who heads public relations for the organisation, said: “It’s a very disappointing decision to take, but the overall picture we have is that we can not develop the festival in the way we want to be relevant to our visitors in the future.”

When asked about the wave of sex attacks at the festival, which resulted in the festival being cancelled this year, Apelqvist said: “We have always claimed that it is not a festival problem but a social problem. How we ensure our visitors’ safety is something we are constantly developing, and that’s something we’ll never finish.”

“I believe we have contributed to people talking, standing up and reporting criminal offences committed. It’s good that people show that they do not take sh!t. That’s what we are proud of,” Apelqvist added.

Last year, the festival saw at least 11 sex attacks, three of which led to arrests; the year before, nearly 40 young girls complained of being sexually harassed or abused by men often described as “foreign”.

One victim, 17-year-old Alexandra Larsson, described her attackers saying: “They were probably immigrants. I hate to say it. But it is the truth.”

As a result of the sex attacks at Bråvalla and other music festivals in Sweden, feminist Emma Knyckare announced last year that she would plan a festival in which men were not allowed to attend to prevent sexual abuse and harassment. So far no such festival has taken place.
