However Osmania University ex-Professor/Professor Sri Kondaram of Telangana said once in a newspaper that the culture of Telangana in not a sishta culture or a culture of good people.Now possibly the most famous verse of the most famous Hindu modern religious book Bhagavad Geetha is Krishna saying that to protect the good(sishta rakshana) and to punish the wicked(dushta sikshana) he will take reincarnations in human flesh time and again.
I do know of a famous Telugu historian say that in his childhood,when the husband expired for a woman dear to them and who belonged to the caste of temple dancers,he asked her to remarry which is allowed in her caste ,yet she refused.Now in the osey Ramulamma Telugu film that was a resounding success at the box office,one of the famous dialogues of the heroine in a raped Dalit character was ‘I do not know how many husbands your mother had,but for those of our last caste we have only one husband for life’.So essentially even if this was a punch dialogue that was not really in vogue ,it does show that perhaps such a behavior is indeed one of the characteristics of sishta culture.Perhaps those who do not follow such a line might be considered neutral if not outright dushta as had been exemplified in case of that woman of the caste of temple dancers called Devadasis or slaves of Gods of temples.
So perhaps these right hand possessions are already considered prostitutes by their erstwhile cultures if they refuse to commit suicides.
