The Great Reset

Delingpole: The Great Reset Is Trending. Here’s Why…

The Great Reset has been trending on Twitter. Once you’re familiar with what it means for the future of our civilisation, you’ll understand why…

Put simply, it is the blueprint for a complete transformation of the world economy. There will be no money, no private property, no democracy. Instead, every key decision — what you do for a living, how much stuff you consume, whether you can take a vacation — will decided for you by a remote, unaccountable elite of ‘experts’.

It sounds like a conspiracy theory — and is often dismissed as such by people who imagine they are being savvy and sophisticated. In fact, though, the people pushing for the Great Reset are perfectly open about their plan. Indeed, they can scarcely stop talking about it…

One of these people is Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. It was a video of Trudeau talking about the Great Reset which prompted the flurry of nervous interest on social media.

Trudeau says:

‘Building Back Better means giving support to the most vulnerable while maintaining our momentum on reaching the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the SDGs. Canada is here to listen and to help. This pandemic has provided an opportunity for a reset. This is our chance to accelerate our pre-pandemic efforts to reimagine our economic systems that actually address global challenges like extreme poverty, inequality and climate change.’

It sounds innocuous enough — the kind of meaningless garbage you’d expect from to come from Trudeau. But in fact, there is deeper meaning to the phrases he uses: ‘Building Back Better’; ‘2030 Agenda’; ‘Sustainable Development and the SDGs’; and ‘reset’ are all buzzwords for the complete transformation of the global economy in order to create a New World Order.

‘Build Back Better’ is the slogan of the Great Reset and the man who invented it, Klaus Schwab. Schwab is a bald German in his early Eighties with a strong accent and the sinister air of a James Bond villain who in the 1970s founded what is now known as the World Economic Forum. The WEF holds the annual summit at Davos in Switzerland where, it has been said, ‘billionaires go to lecture millionaires on how ordinary people live.’

Up until recently, Davos has probably seemed like a harmless event: a sort of annual joke in which we all get to laugh at the absurd spectacle of the one percent of the one percent turning up in their private jets and their limousines to expound on the importance of sustainability and saving the planet.

But the events of 2020 have changed all that because COVID-19 has provided the perfect pretext for the kind of co-ordinated globalist takeover which might previously have been little more than an evil glint in Klaus Schwab’s eyes.

By Schwab’s own admission, the world must “act jointly and swiftly to revamp all aspects of our societies and economies” — in short, he says, ever industry must “be transformed… we need a ‘Great Reset’ of capitalism.”

In a warning of the rollercoaster of change we can expect if this plan goes ahead, Schwab continues: “The level of cooperation and ambition this implies is unprecedented. But it is not some impossible dream. In fact, one silver lining of the pandemic is that it has shown how quickly we can make radical changes to our lifestyles. Almost instantly, the crisis forced businesses and individuals to abandon practices long claimed to be essential, from frequent air travel to working in an office.”

As the WEF puts it of the coming technocracy that would rule our lives: “Welcome to 2030. I own nothing, have no privacy, and life has never been better.”

There is nothing new about the Great Reset. Schwab and his acolytes have been talking about it for years. Chinese Coronavirus – or rather the draconian, liberty-sapping measures taken by governments in order to combat it – has merely accelerated the process.

As I reported in an earlier piece, Schwab has written several books about his masterplan:

His latest, called Covid-19: The Great Reset, makes no bones about the fact that the chaos of the Coronavirus pandemic represents the perfect opportunity to accelerate the entire world towards a ‘new normal’.

At the time of writing (June 2020), the pandemic continues to worsen globally. Many of us are pondering when things will return to normal. The short response is: never. Nothing will ever return to the ‘broken’ sense of normalcy that prevailed prior to the crisis because the coronavirus pandemic marks a fundamental inflection point in our global trajectory.

Got that? As far as your new globalist overlords are concerned, you are NEVER going to get your old life back, however much you might wish it. Also, be clear: this is being done for your own good because your old way of life was based on a ‘broken’ model.

Such is the author’s conviction that the new normal is what we need and should want, he scarcely bothers to pretend that Chinese coronavirus is anything other than a handy pretext.

Unlike certain past epidemics, COVID-19 doesn’t pose a new existential threat.

Schwab is clear in his book that coronavirus is not so much a crisis as an opportunity to be exploited – a chance to accelerate the birth of the New World Order he calls The Fourth Industrial Revolution.

Radical changes of such consequence are coming that some pundits have referred to a ‘before coronavirus’ (BC) and ‘after coronavirus’ (AC) era. We will continue to be surprised by both the rapidity and unexpected nature of these changes – as they conflate with each other, they will provoke second-, third-, fourth- and more-order consequences, cascading effects and unforeseen outcomes.

All of this stuff would, of course, be mere pie in the sky if it were just a sinister-looking bald guy with a passing resemblance to Blofeld saying it. Unfortunately, lots of people of influence around the world take this stuff very seriously.

That’s why Joe Biden used ‘Build Back Better’ as his campaign slogan. It’s why the UK Conservatives feature the website on their Twitter page. And why UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson inserts the phrase into his speeches.

In fact, as I reported in May, it’s a phrase you find being used by all manner of institutions. My piece was titled ‘Build Back Better’ – the Latest Code Phrase for Green Global Tyranny’.

Hardly anyone was interested back then. Maybe more people will be now that they start to realise that while these Global Reset guys may sound like kooks they are in fact deadly serious.

Sure, it sounds like a conspiracy theory.

But as someone wise once said, it’s not a conspiracy theory when they tell you exactly what they’re doing…

I believe that Trump will not be re-elected. He is in the way of the New World Order.

Biden is used by the globalist as a sock puppet. The men behind the curtain will run the show.
Goodbye America, goodbye western civilization.

Next on the agenda is Soylent Green

Canada’s Trudeau calls Great Reset a CONSPIRACY THEORY after video of him promoting the globalist initiative went viral

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who brought an avalanche of attention to the World Economic Forum's ‘Great Reset’ when a video of him talking about the plan surfaced earlier this week, now says it's a “conspiracy theory.”

Asked at a press conference Friday about concerns raised by conservative lawmakers about his use of the term ‘Great Reset’, Trudeau said, “We're in a time of anxiety, where people are looking for reasons for things that are happening to him, the difficult moments we're in. It's nice to be able to find someone to blame, something to point to, something to get mad at.

“We're seeing a lot of people fall prey to disinformation. If conservative MPs and others want to start talking about conspiracy theories, well, that's their choice. I'm going to stay focused on helping Canadians get through this, on learning lessons from this pandemic, and making sure that the world we leave to our kids is even better than the world we inherited from our parents.”

The statement came just six days after a video of Trudeau addressing the United Nations remotely in September came to light, triggering a surge in Google searches for ‘Great Reset’ and sparking viral social media reaction to his comments.
  • “This pandemic has provided an opportunity for a reset,” Trudeau said. “This is our chance to accelerate our pre-pandemic efforts to reimagine economic systems that actually address global challenges like extreme poverty, inequality, and climate change.”
Opposition-party lawmakers, such as Pierre Poilievre, called attention to the video and posted a petition to stop the Great Reset. “Canadians must fight back against global elites preying on the fears and desperation of people to impose their power grab,” Poilievre said.

It's easy to see how observers would infer that Trudeau's comments reflect an international effort to capitalize on the Covid-19 pandemic to impose globalist economic policies. The World Economic Forum has openly promoted the Great Reset and championed using it to avert an economic collapse resulting from the pandemic.

Trudeau also referred in his UN address to “building back better,” echoing Democrat Joe Biden's campaign slogan. “Building back better means giving the support to the most vulnerable while maintaining our momentum on reaching the 2030 agenda of Sustainable Development and the SDGs,” he said.

Mainstream media outlets put their spin on reaction to Trudeau's comments, such as AFP saying the video was being used to justify a “baseless conspiracy theory” about global elites using the Covid-19 crisis to bypass democracy." The Toronto Star also referred to “baseless conspiracy theories.”

Trudeau's comments on Friday provided another opportunity to try to stamp out concerns that the prime minister meant what he said when he called the pandemic “a chance to accelerate our pre-pandemic efforts to reimagine economic systems.” The Huffington Post used a straw man to paint the reactions as absurd, saying, “No, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau did not engineer the Covid-19 pandemic.”

Royal Canadian Air Force veteran Rex Glacer tweeted that the media was trying to “cover up” for Trudeau. “Seeing things that aren't there? Like Trudeau on video talking about the Great Reset the entire world has now seen?”

Former National Hockey League star Theo Fleury reacted to Trudeau appearing to directly contradict his own comments, saying, “He's full of s***.” Other observers agreed, calling Trudeau's latest comments “gaslighting.” One Twitter user quipped, “He now calls it the ‘Great Turn it Off and Turn it Back On.’

Don't often venture on this sub:

I think here we have an example of the use of the word "globalist" which is a complete inversion of how I have always understood the term. In my lexicon economic globalization is a process pursued by the global political right and is a component of neoliberal economics. Its ideological roots are in the writings of AF Hayek - a major inspiration to Margaret Thatcher - particularly his book "The Road to Serfdom", which had it that significant government intervention in the economy inexorably led to communist totalitarianism. His ideas were taken up and developed by the likes of Milton Friedman, a foremost member of the Chicago school of economics. According to neoliberal economic theory the only valid role of government is police and defense. Everything should be left to "markets" the "decisions" of which should not be interfered with both on practical and, especially, MORAL grounds. These ideas drove such policies as Margaret Thatcher's premeditated destruction of Britain's nationalized coal mining industry, which could not compete on price with foreign coal produced by cheap labor from environmentally destructive open cast mines. Bizarrely, the full power of the state, as well as international finance which blocked British mining union funds, was enlisted to defeat the striking coal miners, as it was to crush oposition to neoliberalism in Pinochet's Chile. Furthermore, state power was used to force unwilling countries into the neoliberal globalised world order as in the case of Serbia whose socialist economy was enthusiastically smashed to pieces by the USA and UK under the pretext of protecting Muslims. The result is a global plutocratic corporatocracy which is free to rampage across the planet wrecking nature and exploiting labor with impunity. These global corporations and global plutocrats need to be brought to heel before they render the planet uninhabitable. This requires global minimum standards. In a semantic sleight of hand it is moves to establish such standards that the political right is now railing against as "globalism".

Interestingly, the corporations empowered by the political right are now impinging on their own freedoms due to the hijacking of the internet by woke pseudo-progressive ideology and Islam.

Well, all the globalist crap being pushed back in the 1990's was once opposed by the Left but they seem to have forgotten that by becoming neo-liberals and teaching today's kids to be the same way. Not that I really like Christopher Hitchens but he was correct about a few things.

There is the left and there is "the left" as used by the political right. Among "the left" I would include Bill and Hilary Clinton, Biden, Obama and anybody else who basically accepted the globalised, deregulated finance-dominated economic order set up under Thatcher and Reagan and carried their deregulation/privatization policies forward until the consequent 2008 financial crisis. Of course, these economic right-wingers do like to see themselves as "progressives" - this is very important to them - and distinguish themselves in their own minds from the rightwing to which they belong by espousing a mindless open-borders immigration policy and denouncing anyone who disagrees with this as "far right" and even "fascist". Of course a mindless open-borders immigration policy is also espoused by the UK Corbynite left and other such factions with a more traditional leftwing approach to economics and public services. Both groups are also fervent denouncers of "Islamophobia".
