Due to lesser corruption in the public distribution system, infant mortality rate decreased a lot and as a result people were able to practice family planning as they know that their child can grow up to adulthood without the chance of him/her dying.Hence the southern states of India are more prosperous. Now due to infant mortality rate being higher North Indians did not practice family planning. Now is it fair on part of the ruling North Indians to tax the Southern states more so even though the southern states are more prone to droughts etc in future due to the non-perennial nature of rivers and irrigation? Is that not punishing someone else for the sins of others?

And yes there are Brahmins who consider non-Brahmins as dogs. That is what I heard from the mouth of a Brahmin himself.

appanam in Telugu=uchitam in Sanskritied Telugu=muft in Hindustani=freebie

Now as a result of this Brahmanical ploy of divide and rule and unscientific bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, hardworking people of remnant A.P get paid less while relatively lazy ones of Telangana are getting freebies.Long live Brahmanical narcissism.

In the old forum people have said quite often that difference in food habits is the cause of separation of castes in India. How can the veggies claim moral high ground when they infact consume other veggie foods of strength with their economic muscle is a question that boggles my mind.'When the situation was bad, even Vasudaeva, father of Krishna had to fall on a donkey's feet' is one such dictum that I have heard in my childhood.Due to separation of castes this sort of mentality of looking low at someone even while taking their help abounds in the Hindu caste system. So many a time I keep feeling should this sort of system exist at all.Should not food habits be a personal choice rather than being a means of segregating and oppressing others or sneering at them from behind while feeling oneself superior?

You pay peanuts you get monkeys.

Depends on how you view those jobs.My dad said that control returns were sent promptly at a very early date from A.P whereas in Bengal they only submit them at the month end. When you remain highly subservient, even peanuts appear like pizzas.

Actually those peanuts are a supplement/a complement for already existent income from private properties of those who get those jobs with influence. On the other hand those who do not have properties are forced to work harder.Such is the reality of work culture.
