The proof of the pudding will be in the precedents

Is this good, bad, or indifferent as far as Islam is concerned?
Adopting the definition formulated in May by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA) is meant to make it harder for people to get away with discriminatory or prejudiced behaviour due to unclear or differing definitions of what anti-Semitism actually is.

"It means there will be one definition of anti-Semitism – in essence, language or behaviour that displays hatred towards Jews because they are Jews – and anyone guilty of that will be called out on it," Prime Minister Theresa May said in pre-released extracts from a speech she was due to deliver.

No details were immediately available as to where the speech would be made.
At first sight, this ruling should apply similarly to Muslims and Islam: hating Muslims just because they are Muslims is wrong - who could reasonably disagree with that? However, it seems to leave the door open for judges to misunderstand and refuse to allow people to hate something that Muslims have done and, in consequence, hate the individual Muslims who have done it. On the one hand, it gives free rein to condemn the Koran, hadiths, Allah and - assuming it doesnt apply to long-dead people - Mohammed himself. On the other, anyone saying unkind words about people like "Jihadi John" could be for the - hopefully metaphorical - chop.
