There are various islamicist website that praise the discoveries of Albucasis. I wanted to ask for some more clarifiations about his true contributions because I think that these websites are exagerating e.g. i know that his writings were more or less an adaptation of galen's works. http://www.greekmedicine.net/whos_who/Albucasis.html this websit uses islamic sources and wikipedia.
In order to understand the mindset of Islamic doctrine, one needs to examine the foundation on which this religion was set and permeated.
Since Muhammad had nothing of his own to stand on, he appropriated other people's history and basic tenets of their religions belief, and made them his own. All that, to render himself and his religion as "ancient" with the respectability of Judea-Christianity and some Hindu flavor in the salad called Islam.
On top of that he built his institutions with fantastic imaginary stories of flying on journeys to holy land etc, etc. This mindset also concocted Islam as much larger then what it is. In simple terms, the degree of fanaticism in Islam is such that, Muslims had no respect to copyrights, nor they gave credit to inventions made by others, from which themselves had copied and tried to improve upon - perhaps to present it to future generations as "Islamic invention".
I found very interesting phenomenon with those inventions. The Only inventions which credit given to their original inventors (like Greece), are the ones not conquered by Islam. Otherwise, all others (like part of Byzantine, Persia) which did come under Islamic rule are invention by non-Muslim became "Islamic"
