Islam does. The Quran teaches that, earth is flat, and water pours from the sky.

Well, if you take your time to read them, you find they are not about animals at all, but about people. Different types of people. The way they interact. Human nature.

Human beings have always been observing animals and comparing humans with those traits with animals not just in the Roman Empire but in the entire world. For example the whole epic of Ramayana that teaches monogamy as a basic principle has the krauncha bird(I think it is flamingo) as its inspiration as is stated in its foreward. This bird supposedly mates with only one partner for the whole life.

Similiarly prostitutes were called bitches in medieval England.According to the English grammar dictionary word 'bitch' stands for a female dog.

Today in English slang a "bitch" generally means something seriously irritating: "A bitch of a thing to do..." or an aggressive woman, often also with a connotation of promiscuity. Generally not a word to use if want to make a good impression.

And sure animals are often used as literary devises to teach something or to make a point. The Qur'an also tries that but is very clumsy at it. So how does this relate to indoctrination? Are you saying that teaching with stories is indoctrination? I think to INDOCTRINATE you need to do rather more than tell a tale with tentative suggestions. it is all about disabling critical thinking. A story designed to MAKE you think is not likely to do much of that.

Maybe that is why the Qur'an s rather bad at that....

I will say again that I firmly believe that the brain is just a flesh and blood computer and like a computer it can be programmed. The brain/computer in a child is almost devoid of programming but life and info put into the child`s computer becomes the nature and belief system of the child. Please check on the Mental Immune System which helps to preserve what is programmed into the brain by filtering out contradictions while allowing supporting info to be used to confirm the installed programme.

All you have to do is observe how masses of muslim men all pray in streets as well as the mosque. There is no other religion that has such a hold over mankind to the point where there is such a public demonstration of allegiance to the religion and defying local laws and regulations.

Everyone should google articles on the effects of child abuse, both physical or emotional, and see the long term affects. It behoves everyone to read about indoctrination, the effects of childhood abuse, the causes of lack of empathy and the effects of lack of empathy and the perceived threats even though they are not threatening, unpredictable emotional outbursts in response to perceived threats even though they are not threatening. Upbringing can explain all these matters.

If one accepts that the brain is only a programmable computer everything falls into place. As they say "If you do not use it you lose it". Critical thinking is not encouraged in Islam and so the ability to think critically is impaired.

The only hope in combatting Islam is to intervene in the childhood phase and point out alternative belief systems and show the weakness of Islam. It is the children who must be approached. If the children are not taught about other faiths and only receive Islamic programming then Islam will continue. Just look at so called intelligent politicians, lawyers and doctors etc to see that despite their intelligence they have a pathological belief system installed and no amount of discussion will eliminate their unacceptable mindset. They are lost to humanity.

Please investigate what I have suggested and the mindset of muslims will be explained.

"Quod licet Iovis, non licet bovis" literally translates to "What is permissible to Iupiter is not permissible to any Ox"

Shows that even in the Graeco-Hellenist world, those with uncontrollable urges of sex are compared with animals.

A popular poem from a period pre-dating Islam in India.Once again human beings are compared with animals. The commoners who accumulate money and gold are compared with hardworking ants while the kings and landlords who appropriate them are compared with snakes.

A harsh reality of nature is potrayed.
