The speaker mentions an incident where Mohammed is ratifying the murder of a woman because her husband claims she insulted Mohammed. Not even an investigation or a trial. "She was rude about you, Mohammed". "OK then, well done. Good job she is dead."

Compare that with the passage you quoted about Moses. About both passages we cannot be sure they actually happened. That is the similarity. Now about the differences.

Moses, in that passage, did not order anyone's death to protect his own position of leadership. He is recorded as saying that "leading astray" is reason for the order. By contract, Mohammed used the incident to send a clear message: any critics of Mohammed can and should be killed, and nothing will happen to those who do that.

The passage about Moses is not intended as an example for others to follow at all times. You do not find Jews or Christians generally running around killing any followers of other religions whenever they can, quoting Moses's example.

Mohammed's action ARE seen as an example for Muslims to follow: when they are strong enough they suppress or kill non-Muslims, certainly any who are critical of Islam or Mohammed.

At around 6mins he says that "many things were removed from the biography of Mohammed". Are any accounts of this happening available?
I see that he also ascribes the deterioration of Mohammed's sanity to the death of his wife and uncle, after which he invents the buraq episode and his megalomania sets in. As HerbM said in another thread, we really do need a time-line of Mo's life, events and "revelations" shown side by side.

Ibn Hisham admitted that he had omitted from the biography "things which it is disgraceful to discuss; matters which would distress certain people." (pg. 691).

These things would need to be more troubling than the murders, rapes, tortures, robberies, enslavement & slave trading, and other crimes.

He did leave out that Muhammad died with a permanent erection.

That puts the entire religion in doubt. That would mean that Muhammad never wrote a single verse in that book. So if he didnt ,then who did ? md
