Nadir Ahmed is a joke, watch as he completely stuffs up at the start of this debate. I've seen him debate Robert Spencer before (I'll add that link below), and his just terrible, he insults and brags throughout the debate in an attempt to curve the audiences favor towards himself.

And this is Ahmed Nadir's debate with Robert Spencer:

Nadir I think means well, but he is not much good in debating. In the debate "Does Islam promote violence" he essentially argues that everybody else was so violent and bad that Mohammed was ordered to fight ALL of them to bring "peace".

This is not borne out by the Qur'an and by the hadith. The reason to fight is very clearly spelled out:"UNBELIEF". Not anything they actually do. See 9:30

He is effectively suggesting that the alleged really bad behaviour of the Jews, Christians and pagans justifies wars of conquest. If you think about it, then this means according to him one set of bad behaviour justifies more bad behaviour. End result: everybody follows the extreme base selfish desires only, as they only see BAD behaviours as an example to uphold on how to behave. If one bad thing justifies another, then evil becomes the final guideline in all morality.

In making his case, he is actually making things even worse.

If he had any common sense, he would simply acknowledge what the Qur'an teaches instead of trying to outsmart it. It really didn't work at all. Even smarter, he would not have picked that subject.

Another thing very obvious is something we often see our own Muslim friends do here on this forum: he made an awful lot of claims without giving any source, to back it up. Here is one of the more ridiculous examples:

"In the sixth century there were some Jews who surrounded 20000 Christians, and forced them to convert to Judaism or die." He said. When? Where? Which Jews and which Christians? And we know that because...??? Jews practice forced conversion??? He just drops this clanger on the table, and expects to get a way with it. Surprisingly David Wood did not pick it up. I would have.

My advice to him would be give up the debating game and get a job that suits your talents.

Thank you for posting these, RedOak, an interesting watch...

I don't claim talent in debate but that guy sucks. First he wants to argue against the supposition that christianity is a peaceful religion & islam is violent. He then goes to the koran & doesn't even know what it says? HE supposes it's a peaceful quote but it's not. Then instead of going to the new testament he just says christians were violent & intolerant in the 6th century.

Is he comparing islam against christianity or muslim against christians? Seems like he trying to compare islam against christians historical behaviour. More tricks.

You don't have to lie if you're right.

Hey Manfred, I actually don't know if he means well to be honest, I mean every time he gets up to speak he starts off with bragging about how his 'supposedly' won the debate and says it over and over again as if the more times he says it, the more true it will become!? And then he repeatedly insults his opposition (maybe not so much in this debate but in his debate against Robert Spencer he does). Honestly his etiquette in debating is pathetic, and I agree with you, he should give up debating and try something else... though I'm afraid if he does so, he'd probably go on jihad or something... :nono:

And that's soo true, islam teaches to counter evil or violence with... (wait for it) more evil and violence. That's God's great wisdom!? And now you have the middle east in an endless struggle, war and condemnation, and then they have the audacity to say Islam is peace!?

Your right in many ways there manfred, but obviously he either doesn't have common sense or is too brainwashed to admit it, you see his shock when he read sura 9:29 !!? And man if he didn't even know that verse it just shows how much he knows! Why the frack is he debating!? I mean David Wood shoulda just walked out, the guy doesn't even know his own materials, how can you take anyone like that seriously!?

I know, I find a lot of Muslims make claims and don't back them up, that is so infuriating!

No worries Manfred, glad you enjoyed :)

Hi Stronglove, your sooo right, and then he justifies Islam's violence by saying oh well 'the christians were very violent' wtf!? And remember how he goes on to say after David wood says that Omar the companion of the prophet subjugated Christians, not allowing them to use a saddle when riding, to respect muslims, and a whole load of other stuff and then Nadir says 'Oh well that was only a specific group of Christians, not all of them'. So in other words Omar only subjugated a specific group of Christians, um and how is that justified!? What justifies subjugating a group of civilians to become second class citizens? What could possibly be the reasoning for this!? and I don't even think he backs up that claim!

Ha ha Stronglove I won't even call those tricks cause it won't fool anyone except people who are already brainwashed, his so obviously lying !

I just love how he stuffs up at the start though, and then asks the moderator if he can change the subject! LOL! Epic Fail.!

Thanks for your replies guys!

Hey Manfred, I actually don't know if he means well to be honest

When I use that phrase I use it exactly like Thomas Aquinas who said "The opposite of well done is well intended".
