Hello AhmedBaghat

A few years ago you said that you did not know what "Hedaya" was. Here is the explanation -

This is what the Hanafi manual of Islamic Law, the Hedaya (Book 9 p.140) has to say about discrimination against non-Muslims on the basis of religion:

“War must be carried on against the infidels, at all times, by some party of the Mussulmans. The sacred injunction concerning war is sufficiently observed when it is carried on by any one party or tribe of the Mussulmans; and it is then no longer of any force with respect to the rest. It is established as a divine ordinance, by the word of God, who has said, in the Koran ‘SLAY THE INFIDELS’; and also by a saying of the prophet, ‘war is permanently established until the day of judgment’.”

Just noticed your post. While you wait for Ahmed's enlightened views, here is my Fatwa on that quote:

The entire quote provided by you is obviously bogus and absurd for two reasons.

1. No Muslim calls himself Musalmaan. It is a Sub-Continental term and a thingy started by the Brits during their Raj.

2. It has no leg to stand under the scrutiny of Qur'aan, which does not say anything like that. Absolutely rubbish.

Qur'aan clearly says that Muslims can fight ONLY if attacked and not to start any aggression.

Here is how to read the passage in Qur'aan:

2:190Fight, in the way of Allah, against those who wage war upon you, but do not
commit any aggression by attacking first. Allah does not like aggressors 2:191 and slay them wherever you come upon them, drive them away from wherever they drove you away. Oppression is worse than slaughter. But do not fight in the vicinity of the Sacred House of Worship unless they attack you there first, but if they fight against you, you may slay them. This is the retribution for the disbelievers. 2:192 But if they desist, Allah will be forgiving and merciful.

2:193Fight until there is no more oppression, and worship of Allah is established. If the oppressors desist, then there shall be no more hostility, except against oppressors, if any.

Even a 5th Grader can read and understand it. So, under the scrutiny of 2:190-193, the quote provided by you is a forgery and rubbish.

Now, would you be king enough to take a picture of that page of the book and post here? Please post it as soon as possible. Thanks.

BaigZaheer, if the automatic "word censor" is still bothering you, I can try and disable it. The only one still in need of it occasionally is "SAM", but if he manages to control himself it we can see how it it goes.

As to your post above... there is a later verse about this in the Qur'an... what is you take on the doctrine of abrogation?

Yes, it did bother as it became grammatically incorrect. Yes, please disable it. I use those words only for hardcore anti-Islam elements but never on any member of the forum.

Too late for me now. Will write more on this later.

A quick note: The so-called doctrine of abrogation is utter nonsense. Mostly Hadith-freaks and some belonging to sects use it to force their own points of view.

Not a single verse of Qur'aan has been abrogated and also no verse has been replaced. More as we discuss. To me, any Muslim who says that some of the verses have been abrogated is close to being a Kafir, a blithering idiot and an ignorant fool! Hope you can disable the auto-correct for me. Thanks. have a good day.

I fixed that... I have not disabled it altogether, as I have not yet found out how, but I removed the entry, so the word shows up.

Wow! The argument about contradictory verses is going to run and run, then. Should we prepare ourselves with strong coffee or more sedative beverages, I wonder?

Hello BaigZaheer

My quote -
the Hanafi manual of Islamic Law, the Hedaya

Are you denying that the Hedaya is the Hanafi manual of Islamic Law?
