Games Muslims Play: Coffee is a Muslim discovery

Islamapologists usually trot out that coffee is a Muslim invention, is there any truth in this?
I am not aware of any Christian suicide bombers. I am not aware of any major Christian denomination that believes the penalty for apostasy is death. I have mixed feelings about the decline of Christianity, in so far as Christianity might be a bulwark against something worse.”Richard Dawkins

Well, here is a slick propaganda piece put together by dhimmies to boost Muslim morals.
Any of this is true? I think not.

The coffee story starts with a 9th-century Ethiopian goat-herder boy named Kaldi. Incidentally he was obviously a Christian, but his religion really has little to do with his discovery.

Kaldi observed his goats behaving erratically after eating the red berries from certain nearby trees. He tried some of them himself and was soon acting as hyperactive as his herd. He then brought a batch to a monastery where they were derided for their stimulating and distracting effects during long hours of prayer. The religious leaders there threw the tree’s beans onto a fire to destroy them, but the pleasing aroma of the roasted beans convinced them to give the coffee a second chance. Much like with tea, they put the roasted beans into warm water and the beverage was born.

Arab traders came across this strange drink, tried it and brought the plant to the Arabic peninsula, where it was commercially grown. Incidentally some Arabs call coffee "wine".... Later is was found that there was a native tree which was virtually identical to the one first brought but more to tolerant to the arid climate. The plants were cross-bred and and the "arabica" bean coffee was born.

Wikipedia says that the history of coffee is pretty vague. It seems likely that it was first used as a drink in parts of Africa* before the Arabs found out about it. Whether the people first using it were Muslims - who knows? But as David Wood points out in the video: if they did happen to be Muslims, it doesn't mean that it's because they were Muslims. "Nothing to do with Islam" probably true, for once!

On the same Islamapologist video they also claim Muslims invented marching bands-does anyone know about this?

Coffee, tea, sugar, peanuts, other tasty foods,wine/drink,meditation,prayer,entertainment,racing,drugs,music,erotic feelings all supposedly stimulate the release of chemicals seratonin and dopamine in the brain and thus cause an increased sense of happiness to the concerned individual.May be the levels of release of the chemicals might differ due to intake of different substances and practice of different methods, but the end seems to be the same.So one way of release of the chemicals is haram and another halal. How could that be?
Llinguistically Dravidian states of India watered by non-perennial rivers and with far greater chances of famine are taxed 2 to 3 times more than other states.Yet B.J.P leaders maintain that they treat all states equally.Elections with E.V.Ms=>ample scope for tampering,so ballot papers are a must

Simple: the rules just reflect Mohammed's likes and dislikes. Or his weaknesses, which he wouldn't allow for anyone else.
