first of all, the frontal lobe, the largest individual part of the brain, in not merely a "centre for lying".... it is a control centre for all voluntary actions from walking to having a conscience. Language skills, and social interactions are also controlled by the frontal lobe. We know this from experiments and also from observations of people who had trauma to the frontal lobe.
Second the text he quotes does not even speak of the frontal lobe at all, the part of the brain, as becomes clear if you read the verse together with the verse before:
Here is 96:15-16
Let him beware! If he desist not, We will drag him by the forelock,
A lying, sinful forelock!
As almost every translator says that the part the unbeliever is being "dragged" by is obviously something EXTERNAL to the body, i.e. the HAIR at the front of the head. How do you drag someone on an internal, when protected organ? Smash the skull first?
The "lying sinful forelock" has always been understood to describe figuratively a person, and not some part of the brain.

The writer goes on to say:
The Quran says that disbelievers will be dragged from their lying forehead which turned out to be the part where lies are concocted.
Let's have a closer look at that. So a disbeliever (in Islam) is automatically a liar? Really? What is a lie? It is the deliberate, knowing telling of a falsehood, designed to mislead someone. A disbeliever is truly convinced that Islam is false so how is he lying when he says what he is sure is true? Even if he was wrong about Islam the worst you can accuse him of is to have made an error. Suppose your son makes an error in his maths test. Is that reason to "drag him by the forehead" too?
The "forehead" or "forelock" is obviously NOT the part of the body where "lies are concocted." The forehead is skin and bones, for goodness sake, and the "forelock" is all about hair. It is the same story with all these "scientific miracles" Muslims mention: it always simply re-translates or re-interprets the old text, using modern ideas. Rather than trying to really understand what the text actually says, things are being read into it from much later discoveries or thoughts. The "forelock" was turned into "frontal lobe"in order to make the claim. The proof of the pudding is this: did any early Muslims believe/teach or suggest that the frontal lobe is the "centre for lies"? Or was a "kafir" discovery needed before Muslims found this idea in the Qur'an?
The writer completely overlooks the hateful nature of this passage. It is only yet another one where Allah apparently threatens people to "believe correctly", which is an absurd idea, if you but for a second think on it. It all boils down to obey Mohammed without question or Allah will hurt you. What kind of loving, caring deity hurts his creation even when they make a mistake?
