We all know how fertile those 1000-night Arabian fairy tales can be. But this one pretty much tops them all.

Is she carrying Muhammad's genes or not? Any views?

I think this question can be answered with a simple DNA test. Since we know that, both - King Abdallah II of Jordan & King Muhammad of Morraco DO carry his genes, all is needed is compare here DNA to their which could conclusively answer this question one way or another.

The reaction to the Queen's reported links to the Prophet have been mixed.

Abdelhamid Al-Auouni welcomed the news in his piece in Moroccan newspaper Al-Ousboue, writing: 'It builds a bridge between our two religions and kingdoms.'

Meanwhile a tongue-in-cheek headline on the Arab Atheist Network's web forum read: 'Queen Elizabeth must claim her right to rule Muslims.'

One person on internet forum Reddit rubbished the claims however, writing: 'This is just propaganda used by the British monarchy to appease the growing number of Muslim subjects.'

Buckingham Palace has been contacted for comment.

He bviously doesn't know much about English history. A far closer genetic relationship didn't stop years of warfare between far closer religions: branches of Christianity. I doubt, also, that the genetic distances between the warring Christian sects in Ireland were anything like as great.
Oh, and er.... Sunni v Shia??

And tracing lineage is a shi'a thing. Also, when did tracing birth back to Muhammad mean anything? Aren't you supposed to be a Muslim first, even a convert?

Ah, but isn't there a tendency for some Muslims to be more equal than others?

Queen Elizabeth : "كيف حالك حبيبي." (how are you yah Habibi?).
MBS: very well thank you.

On the serious side. Using common sense and means of recordings available to them then, it is very easy to debunk any notion that a nomadic society, where average family consisted of multiple wives with 4-6 children each, with no means of recording, will be able to keep such meticulous accessory - all for one man, whom until the age of 30 or so was nobody, with murky childhood.

Now, if one argues about the accuracy of Muhammad's descendants after his death to this day, YES I do believe it is accurate because after his death Muslims did keep an accurate record - but not before. Simply because he was unknown until he became a prominent leader.

Will there soon be a family tree showing that some present day prominent Jew was a descendant of Muhammad?

I think that perhaps it is more likely that Charles Manson was a descendant of Muhammad.

It appears that over the breeding generations Muhammad`s genetic makeup has been eliminated by normal genetic makeup with the psychopathic traits bred out. No more Muhammad.

In Eastern religions,I suppose the fundamental belief that human beings are different with regards to the amount of pious merit inherited by them in each birth and therefore human beings would be born unequal and some would be more equal than others. In Islam and Christianity, those in light i.e the Muslims and Christians respectively are more than equal than those in darkness i.e kafirs and infidels.Even within the same religion, the sacred texts of these two religions dictate that some are given greater providence than others. So inequality exists in all religions. The only difference being that people of the same class have a wider gene pool to choose from and therefore unwanted natural traits get eliminated more so with the construct of class than with the construct of caste/tribe.

That's pretty amazing. Who are these historians?

Let's see what the companion's of the prophet had to say about his looks. A younger companion, Anas ibn Malik, a young child when Muhammad ruled from Medina, says:

The Prophet was neither very tall such that he stood above the crowd, nor was he short such that he would be ignored. He was of a medium stature. And the Prophet was neither extremely white and nor was he a reddish brown.

That's the translation. In the Arabic version the words abyad (white) and ahmar (ruddish complexion) are used. So Muhammad was white, fair skinned with a healthy reddish color and thus it is not unlikely that Muhammad was a natural blond. Maybe even a bit reddish....

Anyway, could this be Muhammad's lookalike? (just a random redhead from the Internet)

Now the key gene that controls this type of skin was not known in the Arabian Peninsula or Yemen during the reign of Muhammad. This makes one wonder if Arabs do descend from Muhammad.

The description of Mohammed's appearance in the hadith is interesting as there is something more to it than first meets the eye. He is described as unusually pale, in many hadith, though not all of them. The hadith also refer to most of Mohammed's slaves, specially the male ones, as being "black".

To this day most Arabs have the view that darker skinned people are "inferior" to lighter skinned ones. "Black" was associated with "slave" long before the European slave trade started. A black man or Indian is treated very differently in Saudi Arabia to a guy from Europe. It is very rare that a European would ever get a death sentence for a crime there, but it is common place for Indian or Indonesians. People from the Indian subcontinent working is Saudi Arabia frequently report incidences of violence, of verbal abuse or unwanted sexual advances. White people sometimes get the latter, but not regularly.

Also in shariah, the amount of blood money due is defined by three things: gender, religion and skin colour, disguised as ethnicity.

So was Mohammed really all that "white"? Or was he described like that to emphasise his status?

This could be essential to Dan Gibson's research on the origin of Islam and Muhammad. Unfortunately there are not enough results from genetic studies on Semitic people, besides that of the Samaritans, tweaked in 2014.

The profile provided by Anas ibn Malik could be linked to the immigration of Greek settlers who founded or populated cities in the Near East, the Decapolis. Even Petra had a famous Greek academy and some of its members even influenced the Athens school of philosophy. So if there's enough conclusive evidence for Dan Gibson's Petra-Mecca case Muhammad may have Greek ancestors. Not unlikely after almost a millennium of Hellenization.

On the other hand, it may have been used to emphasize his status. But why would a prophet with white skin be more appealing?

Need to see the source of this table. Otherwise, it is just a fairy tale concocted by some fanatic Islamist to accord credibility to his version of Islam.
(btw. I am surprised r Genghis Khan is not included in that table)

He was whatever any fanatic Islamist or gullible ones wish to believe.
I as mentioned earlier - most authentic & conclusive test to verify that theory is match Lizzi's DNA to that of King Abdallah III of Jordan.

According to the Bible, distinction is made between children of God(read Christians) and children of Satan(read infidels). And the Bible asks people not be fooled by Lucifer who can impersonate as an angel of light(which means he can even fool the believers who believe they are in light).

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Isaiah+49&version=GNT

God as described in the above link calls Israel , a light to other nations meaning the message of one true God known only to the Jews in future shall be made known to the polytheist Gentiles nations and their calling being the call of the true light. And the Bible says that unless you become childlike in that you swallow everything of the light that you are told, you will not attain salvation. So where exactly have I gone wrong?

I only hope so that in future the Europeans would once again not put forward their Eugenic theories which stated that the emaciated Indian subcontinental genes got enervated due to invasion by Muslims of Central Asia and therefore we Europeans are also entitled to enervate in lands that are not of our ancestors but nevertheless those of our God who gave them as inheritance to our chosen people.

NS, this is a) totally off topic, as usual and b) none of the things you write are actually said by the author.

Furthermore, Isaiah certainly was not a Christian, in any case. And the "light to the nations" is the exact opposite idea of what you have concocted. In fact, the interpretation of that term is again different for Jews and Christians.

An interesting sentence is this

I will make your oppressors kill each other;
they will be drunk with murder and rage.

Who, I wonder, is hating and oppressing Jews, and are drunk with murder and rage today?

That Arab man in the background looks exactly like his fellow pagan Egyptian neighbours of the time of Pharoahs with his headscarf.

Some of the Syrians shown on T.V including their president look quite white enough. So one can safely assume that during the Slavic slave trade, white genes did indeed mix a lot along with those of the white Roman converts in Arabs even though those with their original features are also seen in that part of the world.

Or whether Mohammed was from the Arabian Peninsula. There may well have been ginger genes in Petra - and there are certainly ginger Jews. :wink2:
