disowned

Postby sword_of_truth » Thu Aug 19, 2010 4:17 am

I have posted about this before. I left Islam and became an atheist. My father found out. As predicted, he disowned me. There goes my family. And the culprit?

ISLAM!!!!!!!!!!!

So, I am now openly an atheist and ex-muslim, hiding it from no one. Freedom comes at a price sometimes. Well, I would call it a success as long as no one comes to harass me and intimidate me because I left Islam.

My PhD work is more stressful than ever now, but I realize that the horror of Islam needs to be fought, so I will try to spare some time and effort towards that end, now.

OMG, how old are you and do you have a job? What country do you live in? Sorry for asking all these questions, but just wondering. I recently left Islam as well but told my parents and they were going to disown me as well, even though they are very good parents and have always been nice. Thankfully I pretended that I still believe in Islam and I'm still staying with my parents. I suggest you start pretending and make up some excuse. Your parents must be just as stressed as you. Remember, it's not your parent's fault, it's the fault of Islam, the Quran, and the people who brainwashed your parents.

Quite understandable.

Islam, which is a cult says that adherence to the cult and the cult leader (Allah, aka Muhammad) is more important than family, bloodline, friends, tribe. You find the same principle in any cult you care to examine.

It is specifically written in the Quran, I cannot remember where at the moment.

Keep safe, sword_of_truth. Good luck.

I live far away from my parents. United States. I am safe. But my father will not talk to me, etc. I only have half a family, now. My mother's side is non-muslim.

You're lucky that at least your mother is non-muslim. I wish someone in my family didn't believe in Islam! My 5 brothers and 4 sisters all believe in Islam even though they haven't read the whole Quran or pray 5 times a day. :(

Wow, you have a bright future if you're working on your PhD. I'm doing an MA right now in Canada.

ISLAM!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't worry!!Things will fall in place. It is his loss if Mohammad takes precedence over you for him.

Continue to live your life as you believe and be strongh..someday they will accept you...you have to be an example to them, so they can see what a nice life you have and how happy you are etc..etc..perhaps they will learn something..but always show them love..you win more flies with honey than with vinegar.

Well, it took a while, but my father seems to have calmed down a bit now.
