How to leave Islam AND stay alive in Pakistan?

Postby IkraSalimKhan » Sun Sep 18, 2011 5:43 pm

Okay serious advices please.
I live in Pakistan. I'm a female (If you haven't guessed it already through my username). Anddd im an ex-Muslims.
Ofcourse nobody knows. The thing is, Here in Pakistan theres no such "Once your 18 you can do anything you want" thing. And women are treated like property here. Im sick of this to say the least. Infact every single female friend i know is very sick and tired of this sexist behavior. Anyway, I want to get out of Pakistan? Its kind of impossible as im not allowed to go out.. Im not allowed to have a phone.. nd all that typical restrictions. If it were for my dad, he would have probably gotten me married by now but since i aced my O levels result.. He's letting me continue my studies. Im not even sure if ill go to a university.
Can anyone provide me with a "plan" on how i can get out? O.o
My dad is a pathan btw.. Hes narrow-minded. He abuses my mom. He beat me once cause my dupatta (Piece of clothe worn by Muslim females to cover their breast) wasn't "fully" covering me while i was studying from my maths teacher. I can go on and on.
But for now i just need honest advice.

Actually don't say all the girl have parents like your in Pakistan who are so strict and and don't let their daughter use phone or beat her if her scarf is not proper.

I feel sorry for you having such a strict father. I hate fathers like yours, he in my view is Ulu-kha-patha(son of owl ). How many brothers you have? Complete your schooling and then try to get a job in some other city and move there away. from dad. If he tries to marry you against your will, tell him to FUUCK OF.

If he tries to threaten you just let me now, i will fix him. BTW how old are you and how tall are you? Would you like to get married to someone abroad to get away from your family.?

how is my height gonna effect anything?
Oh no wait. Muslims will probably shoot every 5'8 girl in Pakistan.
Seems reasonable.

None of what's been posted so far has been especially helpful to you I bet. My advice is to go to university outside the country, like India, or Australia, and then when you arrive request asylum or state protection. At least then you'd be able to continue your education and escape.

best is get admitted to a University either in different city or country. Then from there on you can at least start living life on your own terms and plan for future.
Try to get your parents to send you into different country for studying although can be difficult but try to coax them. If that is not possible then get admitted into university in different and more progressive city. Then after that you can get a job and have your own terms.

Pathans, even if educated, tend to be very backwards. She ascertains that her parents might not allow her to go to University, but grab that opportunity if you can. As for others suggesting that they let her go to another country, that's 99.9% impossible. My family are moderate muslims and they'd not allow my sisters to go to a nearby city to attend university (it's just 20 Km away!). But what I can suggest that you can look out for apostates. There's quite a large number of apostates in Pakistan thanks to the education system the Brits had founded. Don't spill the secret so easily, but if you can make a few apostate friends, they can definitely help you get out of that hell-holish situation.

5'8"? Umm I'd marry you. I've a knack for Pathan girls  lol jk :roflmao: best of luck.

Actually me and my cousins did convince my grandpa so that he let my sister attend university. Though one of my cousins had to accompany her every day to the bus stop so that she could go with her friends. On days when her group didn't come, she couldn't go. But at least thankfully she has completed her masters degree.

my case is a bit different from Iqra sister , my parents are not orthodox Islamists , but i find it hard to tell them that now it is really hard for me to believe in Islam anymore!

So how do the male family members and acquaintances deal with a female who is better educated than they are? It must be tough on their ego.
The prophet of Islam was nothing more than a common criminal.

Ahhh well all males over her age in my immediate family have at least Bachelors degree, but I guess it's financial independence that hurts that ego balloon more than the better educated bit. It's not a big card. My grandpa was in the administrative services, and yet none of his daughters ever went beyond high school. They had received good Islamic whitewashing to pass down to their kids though.

Believe in reason because that's why you are given the brain. If Islam doesn't fit in the logic (and it never will) then experiment. And orthodox or not, Muslims are still Muslims. Granted they might not kill you, but Islam tells Muslims to place religion higher than your beloved ones. I love my family too and I haven't told them...I don't plan to either
