I noticed something about that clip... the road really has very little foundation... It would not withstand harsh weather or frost. A serious downpour can also cause damage: the water would expand the underlying soil causing cracks.. Also, it is completely flat. Normally a road is ever so slightly curved, to ensure rain runs off to the sides.
So if the road only gets light use, and is in a very dry place, with not much variation in temperature, it will probably be fine.
You could not build like that in Europe or the US or Canada.
