This is a wonderful idea! Hang on... suppose Mufti Abdul Benfarting forgot his mobile phone... The cute doggy brings it to him... and .... as commanded by Mohammed, he at once beheads the dog.... he will not claim his phone even after that, because dogs are "dirty"....

I have no problems with dogs at all, I like them. I just would not keep one because a dog needs a loot of time and care.

Muslims have problems with dogs as you well know.

Most Muslim scholars agree that the saliva of a dog is ritually impure, and that contact with a dog's saliva requires one to wash seven times. This ruling comes from the hadith:

The Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "If a dog licks the vessel of any one of you, let him throw away whatever was in it and wash it seven times."

Wash a mobile phone? 7 times? Really? :lotpot:

The Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "Whoever keeps a dog, his good deeds will decrease every day by one qeeraat (a unit of measurement), unless it is a dog for farming or herding." In another report, it is said: "... unless it is a dog for herding sheep, farming or hunting."

The Prophet, peace be upon him, said: "Angels do not enter a house wherein there is a dog or an animate picture."

Narrated 'Aisha: "The things which annul the prayers were mentioned before me. They said, "Prayer is annulled by a dog, a donkey and a woman (if they pass in front of the praying people)." I said, "You have made us (i.e. women) dogs. I saw the Prophet praying while I used to lie in my bed between him and the Qibla. Whenever I was in need of something, I would slip away, for I disliked to face him.""

Something that becomes impure by contact with something from dogs or swine does not become pure except by being washed seven times, one of which (recommended not to be the last) must be with purifying earth mixed with purifying water, and it must reach all of the affected area. One may not substitute something else like soap or glasswort in place of earth.

So, as a good Muslim, if a dog licks your phone, or touches it with its nose, or carries it in its mouth, not only washing 7 times is required, but rubbing mud all over it... make sure you get the mud well into the charging socket and the USB socket, if it has one, and give it a really good rinse!

Then take the phone to the repair shop, but make sure the repairer does not have a dog....

In the Quran,

They ask you, [O Prophet Muhammad], what has been made lawful for them. Say, "Lawful for you are [all] good foods and [game caught by] what you have trained of hunting animals which you train as Allah has taught you. So eat of what they catch for you, and mention the name of Allah upon it, and fear Allah." Indeed, Allah is swift in account.

Islam allows the use of dogs if there are valid reasons such as hunting animals, herding livestock, protecting the crops (farming) and safety of the home or similar situations/reasons where security and effectiveness are concerned.

Try telling that to the de facto Muslims who throw blind people with guide dogs out of their taxis. Oh, and ask them if their prayers are still valid if the dog who passes in front of them is herding sheep.

Smoke and mirrors, SAM? You are not fooling anyone.

We do know that in Islam a dog is allowed for certain things (but not a black one), such as an outdoor watchdog, possibly a herding dog, or for hunting, as the Qur'an suggests this.

However, AT THE SAME TIME, Islam says anything that is touched by the wet nose of a dog, it's saliva, sweat or any other bodily fluid, is Ritually unclear, and elaborate cleaning processes are needed to "restore" the item. A dog, merely walking in front of a praying Muslim, "invalidates" a prayer, which is on many levels a ridiculous concept. A "valid" prayer maybe should be a topic of its own...

Nonetheless, this is the reason behind the prohibition of keeping a pet dog.

But Islam and its rules has never been very logical. If hunting with a dog is allowed, imagine a Muslim hunting ducks with a golden retriever (he would not be allowed a black one...). He shoots the duck, so the animal was not slaughter the halal way. Then the dog carries it in its mouth to its owner... Then the Muslim cooks and eats it.

And you are seriously saying this is allowed in Islam? Either Allah is poking fun at Muslims with all these rules, or he is quite mad.

But them again, Allah does not exist, it's Mohammed who is responsible for such nonsense.

Either by making it up or, more usually, copying it from his polytheistic past.
