I'm not much of a coffee drinker. in the reserve service drank a lot coffee at night shift. I prefer natural fruit juices or soft drinks occasionally beer out of can poured cold into glass.

Well, come on over, I just stocked up for Shabbot (otherwise known as 'do your own thing time' when the fruit juices and beer flow. Personally I like iced raspberry tea and diet Coke Zero. Too hot here for coffee now.

@Spike

the israelis and arabs consume a lot of coffee no matter the weather. everyday at work, you will encounter workers take a break for cup of coffee. preferably at the morning, before they begin to work.

tho I, like anybody else, like ice cream. I prefer frozen yogurt. in malls and other entertainment centers there you have peddlers who sell ice cream also provide frozen yogurt. its like ice cream but tastier. you can combine a lot of ingredients from fruits to sweets.

The maddest ice cream I have ever seen was in Japan. It had horse meat in it. Little pieces. Uncooked.

Heh.... not bad......

Hey loshka - with this thread being about icecream, Italy would have some awesome icecream, wouldn't it? Keen to hear your comments on that.... ;)

I don't know if it's available outside New Zealand yet, but if you ever see "Kohu Road" icecream, give it a try. The banana flavour is insanely delicious......

The best ice cream I ever had was green licorice, from a renowned ice cream shop in Okotoks, AB.

Ciao enceladus,

The ice cream here, I mean the artisan stuff made with real (fresh / natural) ingredients is to die for. My brother just recently came back from an international ice cream festival in Sicily.

Image

He's a roving chef for all kinds of food events and sends me pics via whatsapp.

Image

This is real peach ice cream pouring out... made with "Saturn Peaches"

Image

And here are the lucky (but tormented) SOBs whose job is to decide which ice cream wins the prize

Image

Not a bad job especially for a New Zealander

http://www.nzicecream.org.nz/industry.htm

At 23 litres per capita per annum, New Zealanders are amongst the biggest eaters of ice cream in the world, and most recent figures put us at the very top, ahead of Australia and the USA. Ice cream and edible ices account for about $1 of every $44 spent on food by New Zealand households (Statistics New Zealand).

Brother came in third place with a ricotta and black honey ice cream... Ricotta as in the stuff they fill cannoli with.

Image

The next ice cream event will be held in Rimini... I might just tag along and visit the New Zealand stand...

Tanti saluti
