Re: signs

These aren't signs for Muhammad's prophethood. But of an intelligent design. Without getting into the intricacies of the above quoted revelations, the point is that the believer sees a metaphor of the higher realities in all aspects of nature, is constantly reminded and increased in God-consciousnes...

Re: questions for eagle about Abraham

eagle... you seem to confuse INTERPRETATION with statements in the qur'an. If you look at text Qur'an ALONE, none of my questions can be answered. Only if you all to text the interpretations you speak of you get the picture you paint. In the end that is nothing but conjecture. So what is "Mecca" an...

Re: In search for the historical Mohammed

eagle, Muslim accounts of the conquest of Jerusalem are all much later than the event, and tell us little about real early Islam. We have also a brief mention of Muslims in the writings of a priest from the levant, Peter the presbyter, writing in 640: On Friday 4 February (634 in our calendar) at t...

Re: questions for eagle about Abraham

Why would that response format constitute a more valid answer than the precise one given prior? And of course 2:144 is about qibla change. The last one, facing AL masjid alharam, with a definite article, the same one spoken of in the previous references. Or do you mean that in every verse the Quran ...

Hello Eagle Please do not give a general answer to specific questions. Do you believe that jinn have genes? Do you believe that jinn have a mass that can be measured? sum Are you still confused by the similar phonetical structure of jinn/genes? Is it still hard to comprehend why Muslims do not spec...

Re: all things are in pairs?

no eagle, nothing to ponder, an obvious evasion nothing more. Tentatively, we can suggest a garbled reference to Noah, as in the context we have talks of ships an rain. Most likely old Mo had a bit too much of his palm wine when he put this together. Tentatively, you should try pondering on how you...

Re: In search for the historical Mohammed

The patriarch Sophronius' response to the general Abu Ubayda's capitulation terms were adressed at the caliph Umar. He knew of Umar's personal and leadership qualities that made him feel confident in him. He would not capitulate until Umar himself came to Jerusalem, showing how highly he thought of ...

Re: In search for the historical Mohammed

Of course the book exists in his time. John mentions it as an object of veneration to the Ishmaelites who believe it to have come from heaven. And because he does not have it as you now admit and as is obvious from his poorly written apologetic, he jumbles Quran passages which he paraphrases as he h...

Re: Please answer my questions, Eagle

The belief is to accept the limits of one's knowledge. Humility instead of baseless conjecture. And your question is based on a misunderstanding of a sentence that spoke of human genes, not jinn. Maybe the close phonetical structure of both words confused you?
