Re: Clearing Prophet Muhammed of the Paedpohilia label

Off topic (or rather, on topic a few pages back). Debunker, you said Jariyah means maid/maiden/servant rather than immature girl. What do you think of this hadith? Jariyah is contrasted with Imraa , i.e. with coming of age. Never mind if the hadith is true, it's a valid use of the word no? ‏ ‏قالت ...

Re: 65:4, The Quran does not allow sex with immature Girls!

Like I said Shamoun did a great job and pointed out the contradiction (as per Tasfir). Apparently, this Sheik Saqr (you brought as evidence for no contradiction) was trying to wiggle his way out of a glaring contradiction. He couldn't simply say: "Those idiots weren't aware that they're contradicti...

Re: Clearing Prophet Muhammed of the Paedpohilia label

So he was offended? I'm not surprised, it's inoffensive to sit around and cooly and philosophically put forward a case to justify a man in his fifties having sexual relations with a little girl, but it's deeply offensive to imagine one's own sister or daughter in that role. Perhaps if you asked him...

Hello Debunker As per your PM I considered debating this with you, but I knew you wanted to quit this site and so was in two minds about it. Mr Yahya Snow has taken a different position to you in that he accepts 65:4 to refer to pre-pubescent girls. @ Aksel The verse said: those who did not menstru...

Age of menarche throughout history and around the world A common form of special pleading introduced to defend Muhammad's marriage to a very young bride is the claim that females matured faster in ancient times, and also in hot climates such as Arabia. Average age at menarche in Europe, 1830-1950's...

Hello Yahya Snow This will be my 2nd response now that you've opened a new thread with updates concerning al-Ahzab verse 49. Their second argument: The alternative argument follows a slightly different despite leading to the same allegation. The argument follows the same unscholarly skeleton as the...

Re: Bereavement

I will not be posting very much in the near future. At present, I can not concentrate on FFI matters as I am full of grief following the death of my younger son who died suddenly, and unexpectedly, in his sleep. It is a great loss and very hard to bear. Sum, I am very sorry for you, a parent should...

yekee here is one out of 50 65:4 Look at this guy.. he writes this and I am sure that even a esteemed friend like you, knows that there are possibly billions of different days in the universe & he gives me 65:4. , And he knows well, we are talking about the "periods" of the planets, heavens, univer...

Re: Clearing Prophet Muhammed of the Paedpohilia label

However the translator apparently understood Jariyah to mean little girl. I guess that's where the confusion started. I better find the original Arabic and see. Like I said Jariyah here exactly means "maiden"... which can be interpreted in many ways... that's why I don't find this Hadith particular...

Re: Clearing Prophet Muhammed of the Paedpohilia label

Here is slightly different versions of the same hadith: حدثنا إبراهيم بن موسى أخبرنا هشام بن يوسف أن ابن جريج أخبرهم قال وأخبرني يوسف بن ماهك قال إني عند عائشة أم المؤمنين رضي الله عنها إذ جاءها عراقي فقال أي الكفن خير قالت ويحك وما يضرك قال يا أم المؤمنين أريني مصحفك قالت لم قال لعلي أولف القرآن ع...

Re: Clearing Prophet Muhammed of the Paedpohilia label

The writer shouldn't have used that Hadith where Aisha referred to herself as a "maiden"... Apparently he tried to use this Hadith to contradict other Hadiths by Aicha? But this Hadith he's using neither confirms nor contradicts... because Jariyah means maiden which doesn't help either way. Actuall...

Re: Clearing Prophet Muhammed of the Paedpohilia label

OFF TOPIC: @ Askel Jariyah means: maiden OR maid OR female slave, depending on context. Hello What I mainly meant was: The writer of these apologetics took Jariyah to mean "young girl" in the hadith, but their chronology and understanding of the date Aysha referred to herself as a Jariyah was wrong...

Re: Clearing Prophet Muhammed of the Paedpohilia label

Surah Al-Qamar, the 54th chapter of the Qur'an , was revealed, "I was a young girl". The 54th Surah of the Qur'an was revealed nine years before Hijrah. According to this tradition, Ayesha (ra) had not only been born before the revelation of the referred Surah, but was actually a young girl (jariya...

The waiting for evidence doesn't really work if the evidence is only available after you die (and maybe not even then). Oh? So you have some rubric whereby you can filter out the 'fake' claims from the 'real' one(s)? I'd like to hear it. Because you'd be wasting your time here- you'd be the foremos...

Re: Aishah married Muhammad when she was 19 years old, not 9.

Madam Ayeshah married Prophet Muhammad when she was 19 years old and not 9 This investigation shows that the nikah of Aishah to the Prophet of Islam took place when she was around 16-17 years old, and not 6; and her marriage was solemnized when she was 19 and not 9. The Prophet died when she was 28...

I blame the death on the bastard protesters. What a typical pair of thugs you are, blaming the victims when a Basiji sniper shoots someone. If the people hadn't protested an unfair election there wouldn't be snipers about, so it must be their fault. You have to prove that the election was unfair. O...

Thank you for the information. So does this imply that nakedness between a man and his wife is evil? Not sure. Ibn Kathir's (ridiculous) explanation is that Adam was created fully clothed, but after eating from the tree his clothes fell off and exposed his genitals, which made him ashamed. Tabari g...

They will quote some doctors and scientists to support their view. How about the hindlimbs of whales or ...
