Re: Question about the Arabic word used in 23:14
That's like saying you can't argue about the Bible unless you speak Hebrew and Greek. That's not the case at all, you've just gotta use a lexicon like Strong's. But there aren't any lexicons like it that I've found for the Koran, so I've gotta ask other people until such a lexicon is made. If everyo...

Question about the Arabic word used in 23:14
Hey guys, I'm in a discussion with a Muslim (as usual :P) and needed some help with the Arabic. Now, as most of us know, in Koran 23:14, it says "then fashioned We the little lump bones, then clothed the bones with flesh", which is a complete and total error, since there's no time in devel...

Re: Koran 4:90 and killing apostates
Ah, thank you very much! That's extremely helpful! I knew something had to be up, since killing the apostates has been Muslim policy for its entire history, even (and especially) by his very early followers

Koran 4:90 and killing apostates
Hey, I'm currently debating with a Muslim, and brought up the command to kill apostates in response to something he said. He replied that in 4:89 where it says "if they turn back, then seize them and kill them", they can avoid that if they're not violent, according to Koran 4:90. It states...

Good job leaving Islam! That must’ve taken a lot of courage. -Why am i on this planet God created us to build for the resurrected world. -what is my purpose of life To find stuff to improve. Re: I need an Arabic speaker to help me with Bukhari 1:11:626
Nah, it wouldn't be difficult. I just need to find this Hadith in Arabic, and see if its there and used how he's saying it is.

Re: I need an Arabic speaker to help me with Bukhari 1:11:626
Ah, I see!
Actually, all the Arabic speaker confirmed was that that word meant a certain thing. But how do I find out if the word is really used or not?

Re: I need an Arabic speaker to help me with Bukhari 1:11:626
I don't get it...you seem to be telling me two different things, no offense. Could you clear it up? First you say: ...the answer is "it's reliable, and anyone who pulls the 'mistranslations' business is full of it." Which would mean the translation is correct, and Muhammad ordered the burn...

I think a position for that opened recently in Saudi Arabiafakknows wrote:
Jokes aside, sorry i dont mean to offend any muslims but the sheer contradiction pisses me off so badly i want to behead someone with a blunt fork.

Re: I need an Arabic speaker to help me with Bukhari 1:11:626
Ah, thanks for the replies guys! Given me a good understanding of what he's saying (as, frankly, I know absolutely nothing about Arabic)! Now, how would I figure out if that word was actually used there, and that the Hadith doesn't actually say he did the deed? Also, if he is right, does that mean t...

Re: I need an Arabic speaker to help me with Bukhari 1:11:626
“…he is NOT a good friend of Quran only Muslims.” I read the link, good stuff! But, really, the issue isn’t the authenticity of that Hadith, its whether it says Muhammad burned those people alive or not. The translation at the site everybody uses clearly shows he did, but the Muslim is telling me it...

I need an Arabic speaker to help me with Bukhari 1:11:626
It can be found here: http://www.usc.edu/schools/college/crcc/engagement/resources/texts/muslim/hadith/bukhari/011.sbt.html#001.011.626 Now, I'm talking with a Muslim who says that the part translated "Certainly I decided to order", apparently in Arabic the word used there is "هممت&qu...

Which Tabaqat reports Mary the Coptic's other lover?
I read about it here: http://wikiislam.net/wiki/Mariyah_the_Sex_Slave_of_the_holy_Prophet" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; and realized it would help refute an argument that a certain Muslim I know has been trying to use...but the article isn't clear exactly where it can be f...

Re: Koran 15:22?
Thanks man! Yeah, it's been way too long. I'll stick around this time, though! Thanks for the assistance. I agree, I don't see how Muslims can possibly claim their book is so great when most of it doesn't make a bit of sense. But, now I think I get it: the Koran is saying wind puts water in the clou...

Koran 15:22?
I'm having difficulty understanding the Muslim talk about this verse being some sort of miracle because it refers to "fecundating winds". What exactly do they mean by this? I have a Muslim who keeps telling me this, but won't explain in a manner than makes any sense. Anyone else ever heard...

Does Koran 13:2 refer to invisible supports?
Koran 13:2 - "Allah is He Who raised the heavens without any pillars that ye can see..."
In the Arabic, is this talking about invisible pillars, or nonexistent pillars?
I'd appreciate it if a non-Muslim would answer, because I know exactly what a Muslim will say...

Narrated AbuHurayrah While Allah's Prophet (peace be upon him) and his companions were sitting clouds came over them and Allah's Prophet (peace be upon him) asked, "Do you know what these are?" On their replying that Allah and His Messenger knew best, he said, "These are the clouds (a...
