Re: Koran 5.18/5:116 relate to John 10:33-39

This is digressing. I just used a lot of sources to make a comprehensive arguement. Somewhere in those 8 pages is a summation of the bibleverses used in the koran, so here's the link ygalg. http://www.topix.com/forum/religion/judaism/T69LL5HIV0F5RQ5B3#c1" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false...

Re: Koran 5.18/5:116 relate to John 10:33-39

In any case i would check the peshitta as source. But i think that the question itself just leads to circular reasoning. As you could see in the last part of my post father=god =allah=not god=not jesus etc. It will then all come down to definition. Arab will have to be used. I do know from arab that...

Re: Koran 5.18/5:116 relate to John 10:33-39

aceaxe makes a better reference point also given that matthew was also translated in aramaic (the question of aramaic primacy) and that the quran is mainly composed using aramaic/syriac sources. But they sidestep the question by stating that only the husk of jesus was crucified. And a mother , from ...

Re: Koran 5.18/5:116 relate to John 10:33-39

pffft, forgive me, a good starting point. Well in a way i'm stuck with a similar puzzle. Just a few words of concepts involved: ahmad, the trinity in quran, the nine commandments in quran, abraham can not have visited beqqa, Meqqa moved several times and only came to be in the 4th c CE, the eastern ...

Re: Muhammad -Myth vs Reality.

Cat is just about the only one that keeps this forum going in the spirit it was intended. We are now at version 4 or 5 if I'm correct. I've been around, under a different name long before you new-bies or even cat came on the scene. This forum used to be the broadest and hottest thing on the web. Not...

Re: Muhammad -Myth vs Reality.

OH REALLY a.k.a. ? must have been in responce to some erratic posting. No interest in academia, not particularly hatefull of muslims but in some other posts annoyed at people you consider not hatefull enough, a lot of flaming and namecalling and gossiping, very short posts and throatcancer? Do I kn...

Re: Muhammad -Myth vs Reality.

I was also busy with the Amorite connection and Abraham. The Amorite language as found in Mari seems to have sanskrit roots/influences. I always thought that the first travels of mythical Ahmad(muhammad) went along Makka in Jordan. Given distances and descriptions. Where Makkah is now it used to be ...

They have
1. a god
2. a spirit/muhammad-manprophet/waker of the dead/ an adjective/a comforter etc.

One choice of the above excludes the others. :-|

Re: Muhammad -Myth vs Reality.

Question to the cat. Regards here from maat. New log in new fora , no use looking for the old information. Once you quoted a poem mocking muhammed by women from the time around his beleaguering mekka. Maybe former goddess worshippers? Maybe asma bint marwan Well now he seems not to have existed at a...
