Re: Tell me again that Religion isn't a mental illness

You might have been deeply religious, but you lacked faith. My ass. I was eight years a Baptist. A Young Earth Creationist. I was a part of one of the main 'sola fides, sola scriptura' Christian sects. I truly, fully believed in these things. And now, you have the GALL to say I wasn't strong enough...

Re: Is Ali Sina a Christian?

Wellllllll..... there are still Christians who aren't above murdering doctors who perform abortions Would you say they are true representatives of their faith? Don't pull that 'not a true Scotsman' nonsense. It's a simple question. And I'm not familiar with 'not a true Scotsman' theory. Is it new?

Re: Tell me again that Religion isn't a mental illness

I'm inclined to think that atheists in general don't have an understanding of spiritual matters, everything about them is programmed to believe only in material proof. ...Which is why so many of us used to be deeply religious people? ....Riiiiiiight. You might have been deeply religious, but you la...

Re: Tell me again that Religion isn't a mental illness

When it comes to miracles, it's not a matter of ignoring them; it's that there's no reliable account. The truth of any recorded event can always be challenged by someone living today because we're not eyewitnesses to the events. But it doesn't change the facts of the history. The people who witness...

Well I don't know about liberals, but I've sure noticed that atheists never seem to miss an opportunity to spew out their venom or to bash anything to do with Christians.

I'd say: It's anti-intellectualism.
By whose standard?

Re: New study shows harmony between the Bible and the Qur'an

One of you said the Bible is centered around Jesus. Really?! The first two-thirds of the Bible has nothing to do with Jesus. Whatever do you mean? From the very first prophecy at Genesis at 3:15, we learn about a promised seed. From Abraham on, preparations for this coming seed are there. That's wh...

Because he's such a bad bloke, you can't let him be a god, just a fallen angel, and that way you also get to keep your monotheism pure. But yet the scriptures clearly identify Satan as the god of this world, or system of things. Are you suggesting here that Paul was positing Satan as a second deity...
