Re: Do muslims fully understand Islam?

What is there to understand? It is all there in the Quran, the Word of Allah. Read it, memorise it and that is Islam. This is exactly the same with Judaism, or Christianity. Do christians understand Christianity? There is the Bible. But is the Bible the word of God? All Christians accept the Bible a...

Oliver, thank you. It is rather comprehensive, I have to admit.

Re: A MUSLIM - DEFINED: By the 5 Pillars of Islam

Oliver, let me post a few comments on Jihad, the Essence of Islam: The Essence of Islam is JIHAD Whether Sunni Muslims recognise it as the 6th Pillar of Islam or not, Sunnis fully accept Quran 2:216 without question or hesitation. Hence, Jihad is the “Essence” of Islam for Jihad is their driving for...

Actually I believe it is Muhammad ranting and swearing by this or that. It was not Allah but Muhammad speaking. The Quran is simply a confused collection of incomprehensible words collected by some scribe.

Re: How to solve Islamic terrorism and Violent verses issues

Homerjay: If Mohammed had left those caravans in peace and told his men to get honest jobs, there would never have been even ONE of those 80 battles." True, but what jobs were there in the 7th century? Robbing caravans was the only worthwhile occupation and Muhammad was the leader of such banditry....

Re: Quran miracle (16:69) : Bees eat ALL fruits

(1) The photo is of wasps and not bees.
(2) Honey Bees do not eat fruit. The diet of bees is Nectar and Pollen ONLY, but they use propolis for building and sealing their nests. Fallen fruit may have some juices that may substitute as nectar. But bees do not eat the fruit. I used to keep bees.

Re: History of the Quran - Origins (abbr)

yeezevee, the three simple "queries" I raised can in no way be seen as a slur or insult on anyone. They are simple Queries, that probably are never raised among Muslims, because they were taught never to query the word of Allah. But those three Queries can establish the authenticity of the Islamic c...

Re: History of the Quran - Origins (abbr)

yeezevee, No Muslim will ever challenge that the Qur'an is NOT the Literal Word of Allah for that would be blasphemy. I have raised three important points in my essay that I hope will be challenged: (1) If "Allah is cognizant of all things," why was there no unique concept of the "creation of the wo...

The video illustrates that the general education of American schools is very sadly lacking. But saying that, if the same test was tried in India, or China, or Africa, or Canada, it will be just as bad. It might be slightly better in Europe. But ask yourself this, Has the State Failed in providing a ...

Re: Is Muhammad reallly to blame?

Hm... so, how much responsibility does Uthman deserve? None? A tenth? Roughly half? Uthman had more authority in determining what was in the Quran than Muhammad. He could have added any verses or removed any verses at his own free will without any guidance from the Angel Gabriel or the voice of All...
